This is Matt Cameron's current schedule...‎

    27/5 SG PinkPop
    1/6 SG Rock AM Ring
    3/6 SG Rock IM Ring
    7/6 SG Sweden Rock Festival
    20/6 PJ Manchester
    21/6 PJ Manchester
    23/6 PJ Isle of Wight
    26/6 PJ Amsterdam
    27/6 PJ Amsterdam
    29/6 PJ Rock Werchter
    30/6 PJ Arras
    4/7 PJ Berlin
    7/7 PJ Stockholm
    9/7 PJ Oslo
    10/7 PJ Copenhagen

It looks to me that Soundgarden will be done before Cameron heads over to PJ.

I hope they don't just play festivals...They're so much more expensive, even for just a day ticket...I wonder if they'll play Leeds and Reading?

Thet dates wouldn't overlap with the PJ dates...But it would mean the Soundgarden tour would be split in two with PJ in the middle.

I hope they do a London date...

I would be massively disappointed if it's just festivals, but I doubt I could resist. To be honest I'd probably just turn up for Soundgarden, then leave after.

They'll defo do their own gigs, it's just the festival announcements will come first. Any rumours of any other gigs/festival appearances? There doesnt seem to be the same rumour mill online that comes with PJ

eventim (German ticket company) has one of those "ticket alerts" (you can register and you'll get a mail once they go on sale) for soundgarden on their main page...when that alert's on the front page, some shows are usually announced soon afterwards.

There were rumours kicking about on one of the festival forums, can't recall which, that they'd signed to play a UK exclusive set at Download, 3rd on the main stage, probably same day as Sabbath.

3rd?!!! Hmm I'll take that with a pinch of salt, especially if it were to be there only UK show. I bloody hope it's not true anyway.

Rumour was Sabbath were going to be supported by Tool, and SG would slot in under them. That would be a pretty epic bill, if SG hadn't gone away they'd be 2nd for sure. I'd like to see them do their own shows, but think it'll be later in the year/next year before we see that. The festivals are good paydays for them too, with minimal work as they don't need to worry about bringing so much gear with them.

Still don't see it and below Tool (who I love), surely SG are big enough to be at least 2nd on the bill, say below Metallica. If they were to play 3rd it'd hardly be a big come back now would it! Also with PJ's commitments I'm not sure if they have the luxury of a small tour followed by a bigger one later in the year. For me this is Europe's go this summer. My money would be on a headlining UK show of some sort.

An arena show? That's good for those of us that are hoping they doing a club show in England.

Between Germany (June 1st) and Italy (June 4th) there's plenty of time for a Greek show.
    Athens 2006 / Milton Keynes 2014 / London 1&2 2022 / Seattle 1&2 2024 / Dublin 2024 / Manchester 2024
  • Their own arena show? This is indeed a great sign!! You've got to assume they'll book more around Europe.
  • It's not a proper arena, it's a place that usually hosts festivals.
It seems Soundgarden will have some opening bands, because the show is set to begin at 3 p.m.
I think it will be something like the mini-festival PJ did in Nijmegen.

I think the rumour of it being Black Sabbath, Tool and Soundgarden at Download sounds very feasible.
  • I really hope they do their own show in the UK...As I'm having to spend quite a abit to go to Manchester to see PJ I really can't afford £150 + to see them at Download!

    How would they play Download...

Great to hear the arena show though

They would setup on the stage at the allotted time and then play. Simple really! :D

I really don't, Tool aren't any bigger in the UK than Soundgarden. If it turns out to be true that will be one hell of a festival line up, not just that day but they'll have to be some pretty heavyweight bands on the other days playing 2nd & 3rd. I just don't see them taking up an offer of 3rd at download, for what an hour set? I defo don't buy it'll be their only UK show.

I agree, last year's 3rd from top bands were Alter Bridge, Skunk Anansie and Disturbed, I'd say Soundgarden are bigger than those bands. Faith No More headlined the thing back in 2009, I'd be surprised if they had sold any more records than Soundgarden over here.

Exactly! They headlined Reading back in 95, okay they've been away for a long time, but that seems to only make bands bigger and similar to what Faith No
    More did.

Most of them are festivals, so they can't announce until the festivals are ready to do so.
