I don't want to spend out on Download. I went in 2006 (to see Tool, Deftones and GnR) and in 2009 (to see Faith No More), but I don't want to pay £200 odd to see Soundgarden play for 80 minutes.
ROCKHAL UPDATE - WERCHTER BOUTIQUE FESTIVAL IN BELGIUM
SOUNDGARDEN HAVE DECIDED TO CANCEL THE SHOW AT THE ROCKHAL ON 28 MAY IN ORDER TO JOIN METALLICA ON THE BILL OF THE WERCHTER BOUTIQUE FESTIVAL IN BELGIUM.

I want a club show!!! :x
would still prefer a club show but at least day tickets are on sale for download now... just picked up a ticket for the sunday...
2006 - Astoria, Dublin, Leeds
2007 - London
2009 - London, Manchester, London
2010 - Dublin, Belfast, London
2011 - Alpine Valley x2
2012 - Isle of Wight, Manchester x2
It's fake, they never announce that many bands in the initial announcement, and Placebo are playing in Germany on the Saturday they're supposedly playing Leeds. Shame, that Sunday looks pretty damn good! I wouldn't be surprised if Soundgarden played just before Foos, maybe wishful thinking though
Ugh this SG tour schedule is totally annoying, I wasn't old enough to see them back in the day and I haven't got any plans. I have tix for 2 CC shows but nothing for SG.. I wanna see Sabbath @ Donington but then I couldn't settle for just SG support slot...the nearest show is Paris but I have a final year degree exam the day before... and with the PJ tour any other dates gets messy..
And I also agree that they never announce the full listing right away.
It is a shame as that looks much better than the last few years.
Yeah I haven't been since 2007, I'm hoping this will be a decent year, all my mates are up for it (which is a rarity) but it just depends on the line up.
I went from 1999 until 2010. Pearl Jam in 2006 was by far the best show I ever saw, but I had the best weekends in 2003 and 2005 as there were over 25 of us there at those two.
Even a top lineup wouldn't bring many of the gang out of Reading retirement though... (
Gaslight Anthem is opening 3 shows in Europe for Soundgarden.
Ridiculously jealous.
Hopefully Brian Fallon can convince Matt to get these guys to open up for Pearl Jam
yes please.
Soundgarden are playing Milan, it's on a Monday so I'd have to skip uni, and it's in a venue with lousy accoustics, but it has Soundgarden, Gaslight and Refused...don't think I'll be able to resist.
Strange one that, they really aren't big enough to headline something like this over here. Still I'm not complaining, not as if I'm going to turn it down!

Oh yeah! How could I forget about the PJ tour which I've got tix for...I'm a douche!

If they don't do a club show, then fuck it...I won't see them.
Pearl Jam are the priority and I am doing both Manchester shows.

I hope this is true, I'd much rather go to Reading than Download!

If that's true I'm definitely going on the Sunday!

They reformed in January 2010 and there is STILL no word of a gig in the UK.

Yeah I'm quite surprised to be honest. As much as I love them, are Soundgarden really big enough over here to headline?
Hmm hard to say, oh well I'm not complaining, don't need to go to shitty Download now as it doesn't look like Bill Ward is gonna be playing.

I won't go to that festival again. Went in 2006 and 2010 and thought the sound was a joke both times. Way too quiet.
