Hard Rock Calling is one of the worst though mate.
The sound levels there are appalling and it practically ruined Pearl Jam for me in 2010 it was so quiet. Hyde Park is a shit location because of the amount of residential around it.
Download, being isolated in the countryside, cranks it up really loud and that is excellent. Sonisphere didn't really impress me when I went in 2009, but it was a lot louder than HRC.Wembley 2000 • Reading 2006 • Paris 2006 • Wembley 2007 • Shepherds Bush 2009 • Manchester 2009 • O2 Arena 2009 • Hyde Park 2010 • Arras 2010 • Manchester 2012 • Manchester II 2012 • Leeds 2014 • Milton Keynes 2014 • Amsterdam 2018 • Amsterdam II 2018 • London 2018 • London II 2018 • Hyde Park II 2022

rock im park this year has soundgarden, metallica and tenacious D. and I can't go because I have a stupid wedding to attend. :x
really hope that there's another festival with a line up like that...or some solo soundgarden shows.0 -
Faith No More played Brixton couple years ago but couldn't announce it for a while because of their agreement with Download - hopefully the same will happen this year, cos there's no way I'm heading to one dimensional festival to watch one or two decent bands....hopefully they'll play the string of festival dates when Matt's done with PJ, at Reading/Rock en Seine etc....or just do a proper UK tour in the Autumn!London 1 - 05/00

I saw Faith No More at Brixton that night.
I saw Faith No More at Download Festival (only reason I went) as well.
I saw Faith No More at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and Reading Festival as well!

I hope they don't just play festivals...They're so much more expensive, even for just a day ticket...I wonder if they'll play Leeds and Reading?
Thet dates wouldn't overlap with the PJ dates...But it would mean the Soundgarden tour would be split in two with PJ in the middle.
I hope they do a London date...0 -
This is Matt Cameron's current schedule...
27/5 SG PinkPop
1/6 SG Rock AM Ring
3/6 SG Rock IM Ring
7/6 SG Sweden Rock Festival
20/6 PJ Manchester
21/6 PJ Manchester
23/6 PJ Isle of Wight
26/6 PJ Amsterdam
27/6 PJ Amsterdam
29/6 PJ Rock Werchter
30/6 PJ Arras
4/7 PJ Berlin
7/7 PJ Stockholm

It looks to me that Soundgarden will be done before Cameron heads over to PJ.Wembley 2000 • Reading 2006 • Paris 2006 • Wembley 2007 • Shepherds Bush 2009 • Manchester 2009 • O2 Arena 2009 • Hyde Park 2010 • Arras 2010 • Manchester 2012 • Manchester II 2012 • Leeds 2014 • Milton Keynes 2014 • Amsterdam 2018 • Amsterdam II 2018 • London 2018 • London II 2018 • Hyde Park II 2022

I would be massively disappointed if it's just festivals, but I doubt I could resist. To be honest I'd probably just turn up for Soundgarden, then leave after.0 -
I would resist if they only did festivals.

eventim (German ticket company) has one of those "ticket alerts" (you can register and you'll get a mail once they go on sale) for soundgarden on their main page...when that alert's on the front page, some shows are usually announced soon afterwards.0

There were rumours kicking about on one of the festival forums, can't recall which, that they'd signed to play a UK exclusive set at Download, 3rd on the main stage, probably same day as Sabbath. The secret to a happy ending is knowing when to roll the credits0
