I don't really buy physical media anymore with the exception of vinyl, but you can sign me up for this if it helps the cause."If I should ever die, God forbid, let this be my epitaph: The only proof he needed for the existence of God was music." KV Jr.0

Hub. wrote:What's annoying is the fact that, the band wished it to be limited (as mentioned in the email LostTurntable received):Items are made in limited quantities for various reasons, but most importantly by request of the band.
:(
And, basically, the idea is pretty good, limiting them so that regular fans can get it. But there's hopefully a misunderstanding about the number of copies each member could buy. Maybe the band thought it would've been limited to one article per member (or even two) when they chose it to be limited.
I can understand that some of us bought each different version of it, like dimitris, who bought a LE Blu-ray, a LE DVD and a copy of the single DVD edition. But it was one per edition. So, as the collector we know he is, it's not a problem. And anybody could do the same.
The problem is those who purchased two (or more) copies of the same edition.
Some did the same with the White Backspacer Vinyl and were later told that their extra copies were canceled.
Even though I understand that some of us bought two copies (for a friend, for example), I can't get why those who bought more than that didn't get the same answer: "Sorry, but you purchased more than two copies of the LE Blu-ray (or LE DVD). We're facing a huge demand for it. So we're going to cancel the 8 other ones you ordered and put them back in store." Simple as that.
Since 10C hasn't already sent them, it's not too late.

The Kids Are Twenty being available on iTunes makes me think that at the very least, we might see an edition that makes it out that includes the two most desired discs. This all comes back to the "how long can you wait" scenario that seems to be so prevalent these days with PJ and merch. If you can manage to ride the wave for a while on a product it may just go down in price, and include a sweet bonus cd. The flip side is something may seem incredibly over priced during preorder so you'd like to at least wait til someone has a physical copy to report on whether it's something you actually want, and then it sells out, like this bluray.
You're damned if you, damned if you don't, so just be happy with what you've got!0 -
Wow...After seeing it last night on PBS....Please, Please, Please...release the 2nd and 3rd disc...
The Grateful Dead released the whole Europe 72 tour at 7000 copies in a box set.
Sold out in a day. Due to overwhelming demand (such as this) they released all the cds at the same price. (no box set goodies)..then each show individually.....10c...please take note....its about the music and the fans....0 -
What we get as a PJ fan depends much on where in the world we live, as for me who lives in Sweden theres no screening or pbs here at all (havent seen the move because its not possible here) and the latest gig in Sweden was in 2000. You Americans have so menny more ways to enjoy this band. I was lucky to scoore the blu-ray from 10C so in about 8 weeks i'll be able to se it for the first time.-95, Stockholm (MirrorBall Tour)

SW6905 wrote:I don't want to be a dick, but when are they going to fire Tim? This fan club has turned into a joke... WTF
It's not that hard to order more t-shirts/backpacks/dvd's etc. I own my own company and work super hard. if Tim was at the helm, I'd go belly up in a week
If this was any other company he would be on the street long ago
Asking for Tim to be fired is probably not the best way to go about getting more copies released.
It's not his fault you missed out...
They were on sale for over 3 weeks & everyone in Ten Club got an email when they went on sale.0 -
Haven't posted in awhile...not really understanding the limited edition as a presale. If it were to sell out a couple of months after it came out, that's one thing. But it hasn't even been released. Please make more blu-ray and 3 disc editions available. Thanks!Do not enjoy moderation in excess...0

yea i didnt have the cash until now...just went to order it and i see im shit out of luck
please restock the bluray0 -
I'll sign on for this. I don't understand why 10C can't order another batch since the manufacturer is still producing them.Charles

It's not over yet!!! Maybe 10c wants us to shut up about all of this, and restrict our frustrations to this one post...
But guess what:

thanks"

We ARE making a difference, and it seems that those that are voicing the biggest dissent are those that are the flippers...

Good idea. The comments over there are like an extension of here!
By the way, I sincerely hope that the guy posing as "Dave A" on Cameron's site isn't a 10c member. What a bad attitude.0 -
