i didn't like how he just magically had that gang dude in the kill room. could be the first time they haven't showed us how dexter got him there. sloppy writing...
and it seems inevitable (obvious) that dex will not forge a friendship with mos def. a friendship where dexter tries to learn how mos changed his ways...only for dex to find out that mos still caters to his dark passenger....which will inevitably lead to dexter having to kill mos def towards the end of the season (along with tom hanks' son and edward james olmos).

had somewhat of the same thoughts about mos def, but still wait for the rest of the season to make assumptions. the writing for this show is fantastic, so im guessing they will throw a curveball sooner or later

Yeah, that was a little bit of slopy writing w/ the gangbanger dude just being in the kill room right away...that had to have been a struggle to get him in there.
its getting intresting..like the new lieutenant..give the power to the women..

Any other Breaking Bad fans notice that the actor that played said gangbanger was also the actor that played one of Tuco's cousins??

Was it? Didn't pick up on that. Dexter and Breaking Bad are the two best shows on television right now.

Agreed, 100%
I also enjoy Modern Family & Always Sunny too though. I haven't laughed at TV like that for a long time.

Yea but I wasn't as bothered by it. Dexter is getting a little more intense on the killing portion. Hammer last week and the razor blade this week. Of course none of it is as dark as the scenes in the first book.
As for the story line, I'm not sure right now. Something needs to grab my attention soon.

Really enjoyed tonight's episode. Favorite one of the season so far even though I saw the "twist" with the old man coming. Dexter look devastated at the end when all his slides were broken..I wonder how he's going to cope.
Deb has really come a long way from season 1 when she was afraid to speak in public. Even though she has some doubts about herself and is feeling pressure about her new position, she came across confidently in several scenes and (hopefully) is not going to take any crap from LaGuerta.
Anyone else think something odd is up with Masuka's intern? How old was Rudy? Wondering if the intern in college could she be his daughter..or a wannabe copy cat killer?

Good episode this last Sunday...just watched it last night.
The scene with the horses was awesome! Lots of crazy shit is going to happen!!
A couple of "wait a second" moments from the show...
Why would Dexter put himself in the position of being seen with the old man in front of so many people if he though he was going to kill him and make him disappear? Granted, the guy didn't have close family, but a guy who disappears will likely cause the police to ask "When was the last time you saw Mr. so-n-so". "He was with this younger guy..." Yeah, he ended up suffocating him in the end, but the first plan seemed risky.
When Dex got the call that his car was done, he drove a Miami Metro loaner car to the shop and got his SUV back. He'd have to call someone to pick that car up and if shit ever goes down there, you'd think they'd question why a police loaner car was at that shop.
The hand in the box. I don't recall, but was that a fake hand? A real hand would have to be suspended in formaldehyde at that point for preservation...not a plastic bag.
Question time:
Do you think they are trying to make Quinn bitter and wanting to take down Deb from her post? I wonder if he'll try to get dirty and then Dex will have to step in...
What do you think the significance of the hot blond getting so involved with the Ice Truck Killer case? You think she'll dig up some stuff on Dexter's involvement?
Dexter always seems to do things that I'd think would leave hair samples etc at the scene...

It was a fake hand--remember the ITK made prosthetics? that was the hand of one of his victims if I remember accurately.
Why would Dexter put himself in the position of being seen with the old man in front of so many people if he though he was going to kill him and make him disappear?
I think the same thing when things like this happen--remember the episode from the season with Jimmy Smits where he takes him to stalk out that dude at the casino? And they have to leave right away because someone recognized him and they didnt want anyone to be able to place them there? Dexter made a big ass deal about that one at the time.

Was it a Miami Metro car? I must have missed that part. Regardless, I thought it odd that he left any kind of car there; ditto for when he left his car at the shop to begin with. SOmeone would have had to come and get him.

I go back and forth on Quinn. I actually really want to LIKE him, but Dexters insane dislike for the dude means he will eventually likely be killed off. kind of a bummer.
The "hot" blond...I think shes using masuka to get access to stuff on the ITK. She seems like one of those psychos that gets obsessed with serial killers in a "in love with them" kind of way.
I hate Deb. She annoys the fuck out of me.
Makes much more sense...

I'm liking this season quite a lot. I like the preacher/mechanic shop owner that is starting to be Dexter's friend. The serial killer case this season is completely fucked up.
