  • Yea the shooting scene was pretty random. Maybe that was the shooter from the season finale of Weeds, he is just on a rampage. Joking of course.

Good start though, will see how it continues from here. The god discussion was great for sure. Sort of seems like a play on one of the later books, but i know it's not.

On a separate note, Homeland looks pretty good after the first episode.

The shooting scene was pretty interesting. Looks like Deb is a hero.

Haven't checked out Homeland yet. It's waiting for me on the DVR.

Spoiler on Homeland: There is a wild sex segment like 5 minutes into the first episode, bare man ass and all. Beware.

prom queen was smokin' hot. good for dexter.

    decent start.

didn't like the opening killing where he called 911 to kill the 2 emt guys. wouldn't the police and more than just 2 emt's show up for a "stabbing" call?

    but i liked the episode.

glad to hear homeland is good. need to catch up on the first episode this weekend.

Yeah, and I'm pretty sure there would be some investigation into the disappearance of those EMTs. Not only would they have Dexter's voice on file (all 911 calls are recorded), but what cellphone did he use to call that in?

And yeah, the police would most likely be on the scene before or at the same time as the EMTs...it being a violent 911 call and all...

    Oh well.

Dexter is back!!! And it was a great start to the season. Is Edward James Olmos just awesome in everything he does or what? Not much screen time for the season's new serial killers, but we got an intro and what we did see was pretty creepy. Looking forward to seeing where it goes from here.

i didn't like how he just magically had that gang dude in the kill room. could be the first time they haven't showed us how dexter got him there. sloppy writing...

and it seems inevitable (obvious) that dex will not forge a friendship with mos def. a friendship where dexter tries to learn how mos changed his ways...only for dex to find out that mos still caters to his dark passenger....which will inevitably lead to dexter having to kill mos def towards the end of the season (along with tom hanks' son and edward james olmos).

still love this show though. ;)

had somewhat of the same thoughts about mos def, but still wait for the rest of the season to make assumptions. the writing for this show is fantastic, so im guessing they will throw a curveball sooner or later

Yeah, that was a little bit of slopy writing w/ the gangbanger dude just being in the kill room right away...that had to have been a struggle to get him in there.

Any other Breaking Bad fans notice that the actor that played said gangbanger was also the actor that played one of Tuco's cousins??

Was it? Didn't pick up on that. Dexter and Breaking Bad are the two best shows on television right now.

    Agreed, 100%

I also enjoy Modern Family & Always Sunny too though. I haven't laughed at TV like that for a long time.

Agreed, it was almost like a scene was missing.

Yea but I wasn't as bothered by it. Dexter is getting a little more intense on the killing portion. Hammer last week and the razor blade this week. Of course none of it is as dark as the scenes in the first book.

As for the story line, I'm not sure right now. Something needs to grab my attention soon.
