How do you feel about pregame shows?
I really liked the NFL Today in the 80s when it was 30 minutes. It seemed like 1:00 took so long to arrive back then. I don't watch any of them now. I usually DVR the 1:00 game and start watching around 2.Spectrum 10/27/09; New Orleans JazzFest 5/1/10; Made in America 9/2/12; Phila, PA 10/21/13; Phila, PA 10/22/13; Baltimore Arena 10/27/13; Phila, PA 4/28/16; Phila, PA 4/29/16; Fenway Park 8/7/16; Fenway Park 9/2/18; Asbury Park 9/18/21; Camden 9/14/22; Las Vegas 5/16/24; Las Vegas 5/18/24; Phila, PA 9/7/24; Phila, PA 9/9/24; Baltimore Arena 9/12/24; Pittsburgh 5/16/25; Pittsburgh 5/18/25

one hour is plenty... plus the talking heads make it painful to watch. Fox's guys are nothing but cartoons in the studio now. ESPN has all these bad ex players. the entire cbs crew blows. can't stand costas and the old espn guy on nbc. they hype the shit of stuff and do all these stupid little side skits.
i don't even turn shit on until 5 after the hour. if it's a championship game, i wait until 15 pass the hour.
i don't need your over payed talking heads to tell me shit i already know.81 is now off the air0 -
i wouldn't mind fox if it was just kurt menafee, bradshaw and howie long. jimmy johnson....eh, he's okay i guess.
absolutely no need to add strahan to the mix.
do they still have a hot weather girl?www.myspace.com0 -

I know he's not an announcer but Shannon Sharpe on the pre-game show sounds like he has marbles in his mouth. Just awful. He was a great player, leave it at that.
Sharpe sounds like the one character on Fat Albert that can only say Dabba Deeba Dabba.
I don't know how anyone can dislike collinsworth and michaels. They are tremendous. Collinsworth gives the best insight of any NFL analyst IMO. He is always well prepared to talk about the game he's doing. And I love the fact that he will call players out when they screw up.
Actually I think most of the big name NFL announcers are decent. I like buck, michaels, tirico, nantz as play by play guys. I really liked bob papa on NFL network, but I think he's gone this year, which is a shame. I guess he's stuck doing Ginas games on the radio now.
The analysts that annoy me are siragusa, dierdorf, and tim ryan. As bad as the NFL product has become, the annoucers are one thing that's good about the league. MLB is the opposite where the on field product is good and most of the annoucers suck (luckily vin scully is back for another year  )0 -
