    i have to admit--when PJ played the fixer the other night here in Toronto, I totally thought of you. And as much as you hate that song, it will always make me think of you :lol: . Canada has been great--just one more show and I'll be headed home, but its been an amazing September. The boys are on a roll--by the time they get to Vancouver, you are going to be knocked on your ass (hopefully softly ;) )

    the doc told me I look "great." well, duh ;)

    he removed half of the 15 stitches in my butt. the rest will wait until after vancouver. he says it looks great back there...I'll take his word for it :lol: . I'm still on no driving, no lifting restriction. he said a heavy lift could literally cause my colon to exit thru my ass :shock: . he also said I am now at a 20% increased chance of colon cancer, down the road. next year's colonoscopy will be telling. I won't worry about that, right now. I think my oct-dec chemo could be shitty (literally). I will also not worry about that until it happens.

    ONE oxycodone doesn't seem like much to me....especially if I remember college! ;)

    I know what you mean- and the choice is difficult, basically pain vs getting hooked... which is why I can't (and won't) ever take benzodiazapines again without being immediately re-addicted. Maybe better to follow his advice in case you ever need the meds again (hopefully not!) It really does sound like you have a good doc- even when he does seem like a bully! ;)

    Sounds like a fabulous Dr visit. It sounds like you have a pretty great one. :mrgreen:

    Take it easy on the foods getting re-introduced. Something you would think would be easy for you....are actually the toughest ones. :?

    Here's a thought for the oxy's....cut that 5mg in half one day and see how taking half a dose may help. After my brain surgery last year that is what I had to do. Slowly cut them out and go from there. You'd be surprised what a mind over matter effect it can be. I believe the dr has your best interest at hand here. As sucky as it may sound.

    I substituted 5 Guiness for 5mg of oxycodone. Happy? :lol:
