    Things are getting better. I'm DAMN jealous of you guys who saw the toronto shows! I hope the boys save something for vancouver :lol:

    I find myself seeing people with various disabilities and thinking "would I rather be them?" probably not a healthy activity, but what can I say? sometimes, my new reality seems very sucky; other times I think "not REALLY that big of a deal." you guys, my wife, my dog and my friends continue to aid my recovery :mrgreen:

    back to the doc tomorrow.

    The week you were having surgery, I was leading a 4-day training for people who will teach diabetes self-management workshops. I wore my STP bracelet and told them about you. Yesterday, I had a meeting with one of them. The FIRST thing she asked me was "How did your friend's surgery go?" Working in a hospital, she sees plenty of things, but she was most impressed with your attitude and sense of humor and told me that it will get you through.

    I gotta say, it impresses me too, along with all the love from people on this board. I'm glad you're part of this place. :D

    I just made it to Ottawa after rocking my ass off for both Toronto shows. I have to tell you that I was thinking about you and how you're going to Vancouver and all I could think is that you're going to rock your ass off and forget about everythig you've been dealing with. Pearl Jam has been on fire and are in rare form. I admire that you're going and I just know you'll be smiling. I also know that your positive list will grow longer with time and the negatives list will shorten. And who knows, maybe someday looking back it'll all be a plus. Hard to imagine now I'm sure.

    Keep your head up, good luck with the doctor's visit and know I'll be sending positive Chi your way tomorrow.
