  • All the drunks say that! "I was just having a good time, man!"
I'm kidding, of course - that's reeDONKulous. Especially when it's the final (lights on, I'm assuming) song! At
least it wasn't half way through Olé. You'd be telling a much sadder story![/quote]

I'll be the first to admit if I was drunk and obnoxious.... But I had 3 beers... Far from it! I work in law enforcement and I wasn't going to bow down to a security guard clearly on a power trip. It was Yellow Ledbetter, lights on... If the cops can't even back up security then clearly there's something wrong. They should have better things to worry about than someone dancing a few inches in the aisle...
  • Damn! Awesome setlist both nights. How can they possbily beat that. Have to wait another two weeks for Vancouver. Can hardly stand it.

I was 2nd row tonight, Mike side. After the show I'm walking out...suddenly this guy with a face full of piercings LAUNCHES himself over a row of chairs after something. I can see he's flailing away at an Eddie guitar pick but can't reach it, so I bend over and pick it up. The guy starts begging me for it (literally), saying I only saw it because he threw himself after it (true) and it would mean "more than life itself" if he could have it. Reluctantly I say fine, it means more to him than me and hand it over. Then I curse myself for being a pussy since I'll probably never see this guy again in my life. I'm a huge loser who should have just walked away, right? It's not like a Mike pick where he throws out a shitload every night, it was an Eddie pick. Still, it's only a pick...right?

Yeah but you did the right thing. Isn't that what matters?

Why all the repeats from last night?
I was at both shows and have to tell you the repeats killed the vibe.

Not sure if he's joking. Tonight was AMAZING. I was sitting in row 21 surround by 10 Clubbers and believe me, not one person's vibe around me was killed.

i agree the repeats did kill the vibe. whats with the fixation with the the fixer, alive, and the three others that were repeated. surely they could have done others, its not like a new album is out.

Night 1 must have energized the guys, because you could tell that they came on stage tonight on a mission.

So glad I made the trek from Wisconsin. Could get to PJ20 shows, so this was my chance...holy crud. TOTALLY worrth it.

Ed teased us with NYC (Neil Young Country), but with "I got shit", "In my tree" and a host of songs off of Ten that I haven't heard live since the early 90's...it was a fantastic night.

Are you kidding me!! If getting "Dissident" wasn't enough, it was as if Eddie channeled my thoughts and completed my trifecta of Top 3 favourite PJ songs by doing "I Got Shit" and "Light Years" back to back during the encore! Thank-you PJ for two memorable shows, onwards to Ottawa! :D

Awesome opener... Very different set list than last night which was great! Then Yellow Ledbetter starts and I get kicked out for standing 6 inches into the aisle!!! The police come to escort me out and all they can say is "He gets paid $10.50 an hour, I'm sorry!" WTF!!??? I wasn't backing down, cause all I was doing was enjoying the show.... MAJOR complaint headed your way ACC!!! Just for enjoying a concert...:

Was that you being escorted down the aisle on Stone's side? If so, my apologies--that really, really sucks. Security was weirdly tight tonight.

why are they obligated to not repeat songs? Most bands repeat EVERY SONG... you complain about a few repeats out of 30? WHy do they repeat ALIVE? Its one of the greatest rock songs of all time and the feeling of 20,000 people chanting in unison during the jam probably gives them a feeling of euphoria that most people wont have the chance to experie nce... ive been to 30 shows , i hope i never go to a show where they dont Play Alive... Is it also lame to hear the whole crowd sing the first verse of betterman to if they played it the night before? Not to mention songs like alive and porch and betterman and daughter always have some sort of twist or unique jam or the tag or what not... in my experiences i never feel like a hear a carbon copy version of any of those songs...

Tonight was nice and solid, I thought. There wasn't the same spectacular pay-off as yesterday, but that's not to suggest tonight's wasn't its equal in virtually every other way. I don't know who I was seated behind, but I meant what I said afterwards: I will be seriously disappointed if you're not in Ottawa. And if you really have to work, I'm going to endeavour to dance half as well as you did tonight. Plus a kajillion for bringing it like that!

If you were sitting in Floor C and about 13 rows back I was two rows in front of you and the same thing happened to me. All night I was enjoying the show, bothering nobody and all of a sudden the young security guard told me I had to get my feet out of the aisle. I was shocked. He is the same guy who sent over his cronies to hassle you. When the show was over, a bunch of us complained to the supervisor...don't know if anything will be done; so sorry this happened. He was by far the worst security guard I have ever seen in 20 years of shows...the epitomy of a meathead.

Other than that...show was great; they were a band possessed for the first set!

  • Amazing show! I could care less if they repeated songs from the first night, all of them deserved an encore IMO!!!

Finally glad to hear State, Sad, God's dice and Lass Kiss.

PLEASE PLAY RED MOSQUITO!! That's all I ask....(pretty please)....there's always hope in the hammer! ;)

You did the morally 'right thing'.....if that matters to you at all??
He did spot it first & was pursuing it (badly perhaps - flailing - hehehe) - you just were lucky enough to be in the right spot at the right time....
    Shitting dilemma but right choice!
I better make something of it - cause the in-between is MINE!!!

I know, I know, but still...it was in my hand...and it was so shiny...and I didn't steal it from him or anything like that, I just snagged it before he could get to it.

Ah well. It's a guitar pick. And I got to see the whole show from the 2nd row, which was pretty fucking awesome. Seven tracks from Ten, a kickass setlist (Garden! Present Tense! Sad! In My Tree!), and the band even indulged me:

Me: "fuck I have to pee...I hope the next song is one I can skip..."
    (first few bars of Wishlist)
    Me: "Thank you, guys!!!"

  • Excellent show tonight. You guys with shows coming up are in for a treat if tonight is any indication. The boys are having a great time, and it shows. Eddie was really energetic, and I kept noticing how he would scream out the lines and put that little extra oommph into the songs.

Highlights for me were Light Years, Wishlist (sorry all you haters, I love that song), Present Tense and Hail, Hail.

Lindsay I saw you being escorted out. That sucks, but as someone else said at least it was the last song.

    Looking forward to Hamilton!!
