All the drunks say that! "I was just having a good time, man!"
I'm kidding, of course - that's reeDONKulous. Especially when it's the final (lights on, I'm assuming) song! At
least it wasn't half way through Olé. You'd be telling a much sadder story!
I'll be the first to admit if I was drunk and obnoxious.... But I had 3 beers... Far from it! I work in law enforcement and I wasn't going to bow down to a security guard clearly on a power trip. It was Yellow Ledbetter, lights on... If the cops can't even back up security then clearly there's something wrong. They should have better things to worry about than someone dancing a few inches in the aisle...
If you were sitting in Floor C and about 13 rows back I was two rows in front of you and the same thing happened to me. All night I was enjoying the show, bothering nobody and all of a sudden the young security guard told me I had to get my feet out of the aisle. I was shocked. He is the same guy who sent over his cronies to hassle you. When the show was over, a bunch of us complained to the supervisor...don't know if anything will be done; so sorry this happened. He was by far the worst security guard I have ever seen in 20 years of shows...the epitomy of a meathead.
Other than that...show was great; they were a band possessed for the first set!

I was 2nd row tonight, Mike side. After the show I'm walking out...suddenly this guy with a face full of piercings LAUNCHES himself over a row of chairs after something. I can see he's flailing away at an Eddie guitar pick but can't reach it, so I bend over and pick it up. The guy starts begging me for it (literally), saying I only saw it because he threw himself after it (true) and it would mean "more than life itself" if he could have it. Reluctantly I say fine, it means more to him than me and hand it over. Then I curse myself for being a pussy since I'll probably never see this guy again in my life. I'm a huge loser who should have just walked away, right? It's not like a Mike pick where he throws out a shitload every night, it was an Eddie pick. Still, it's only a pick...right?
You did the morally 'right thing'.....if that matters to you at all??
He did spot it first & was pursuing it (badly perhaps - flailing - hehehe) - you just were lucky enough to be in the right spot at the right time....
Shitting dilemma but right choice!
I better make something of it - cause the in-between is MINE!!!

Ah well. It's a guitar pick. And I got to see the whole show from the 2nd row, which was pretty fucking awesome. Seven tracks from Ten, a kickass setlist (Garden! Present Tense! Sad! In My Tree!), and the band even indulged me:
Me: "fuck I have to pee...I hope the next song is one I can skip..."
(first few bars of Wishlist)
Me: "Thank you, guys!!!"

Excellent show tonight. You guys with shows coming up are in for a treat if tonight is any indication. The boys are having a great time, and it shows. Eddie was really energetic, and I kept noticing how he would scream out the lines and put that little extra oommph into the songs.
Highlights for me were Light Years, Wishlist (sorry all you haters, I love that song), Present Tense and Hail, Hail.
Lindsay I saw you being escorted out. That sucks, but as someone else said at least it was the last song.

?? shows and counting....GREATEST ROCK AND ROLL BAND IN THE WORLD
WHHHHHOOOOOAAAAA! What a wonderful show! I loved Mudhoney tonight, Mark Arm is a hell of a singer! I will definitely explore them more when I'm home again.
Tonight was my last PJ show here and I'm so unbelievably glad that I finally got to hear I got shit/ Cinnamon Girl! I was screaming my heart out when I knew they would play it The Germans who won the lottery tonight and were in row 1 had a flag and at the preparty wrote I got shit on it and it seems as if the band read the flag Thanks again, guys!
I had a blast tonight! We were in section 118, closer to the stage and in the middle of a singing, dancing and screaming fan cloud! I loved the whole show! The lighting during Wishlist was beautiful, Last Kiss played for the ones behind the stage was awesome, lot of songs that I hadn't heard life before (well at least only on bootlegs). I even loved that they fucked up three times
Thank you Pearl Jam - my last four gigs with you were an absolutely amazing experience that I will never ever forget. I feel blessed to have been able to attend these four fantastic shows. Speechless ...

Please, Pearl Jam, consider a Benaroya Hall vinyl reissue!
Edge was there tonight in section 118 near the bottom of the section. The pro wrestler, not the U2 guitarist.

I saw him in the hallway. I tapped some guy on the shoulder and asked who that was, goes to show you how much I pay attention to pro wrestling now. Anyways, great show.

Security were dicks on the floor definitely. Two guys had a rats banner they weren't even showing. It got played so they tried to unfurl it to show Ed, moving slightly towards the isle (they were end seats.) Security came up and told them to get out of the aisle (they complied), then stopped them from holding up their banner. They weren't even holding it high or blocking anyone's view. Power trips.
Yeah, on night 1 my seat was at the aisle and during the Mudhoney set I started dancing a little in the aisle. After a while the security dame came and told me in a very unfriendly way to go back to my seat :x I understand that the aisle has to be clear for security reasons, but it was not crowded and I didn't block or dirsturb anyone. She could have said it differently.

I had an aisle seat today and the guy near me was very nice... I got pushed out a bit and he kept looking at my feet (they were just outside of the chair) and never said a word.
He did let some "hockey stars" get right in front of me which was annoying, but not a big deal. Overall though very nice... I'm sorry so many had such bad experiences with security there.
Awesome opener... Very different set list than last night which was great! Then Yellow Ledbetter starts and I get kicked out for standing 6 inches into the aisle!!! The police come to escort me out and all they can say is "He gets paid $10.50 an hour, I'm sorry!" WTF!!??? I wasn't backing down, cause all I was doing was enjoying the show.... MAJOR complaint headed your way ACC!!! Just for enjoying a concert...:
Man I feel that. Tonight I was in row 22 on the aisle. I had my Rats banner out for Rats and the aisle nazis were all over me. Seriously, the only person who didn't like my banner was this young security guy who told me I'd have to leave if I didn't get rid of the banner. If you moved an inch into the aisle (even accidentally) they would literally start breathing down your neck.
Other than the ridiculous security tonight, the show was amazing. Only seven repeats in two nights too!
Awesome show tonight. For me, it is hard to compare the two. I was in a much more rockin section of hard core fans tonight (and closer to the fan club seats) so the vibe felt better for night two for the main set. The encores felt better night one.
Pretty disappointed actually... 6 repeats from night 1 plus "Last Kiss". But my real complaint is not a single song from "Riot Act" or "Pearl Jam" between the two nights. I just don't get how you can completely neglect those albums while repeating so many songs over a two night run in a city. The fact that yesterday was so amazing could be contributing to my disappointment as well... I mean, how do you top that? Just my two cents though, which is worth about exactly that. I heard plenty of people saying what a great show it was. Still the greatest band on Earth. As for the security, I got into it with one guy during "Yellow Ledbetter" because he made a 5 year old kid get off of a guys shoulders. This poor kid probably couldn't see shit the whole night and the guy in front of him was nice enough to put him up at the end and this dick comes and ruins it.

For the first time since I became a member of 10C in 2000, I did not have floor seats, and I couldn't have been happier. As grateful as I am for the row 17-24 seats I normally get, I have a very difficult time seeing. Tonight, I was in section 109 and I didn't miss a thing. I felt like I won the lottery. My friend and I were jumping up and down when we saw we were in 109.
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
Highlights - I finally got LIGHT YEARS!!! And Sad!! Plus, after waiting (very patiently) for 10 years to hear Present Tense, I got it last year and was ecstatic to hear again tonight. What a fan-fuckin'-tastic song!! LOVE IT!! Opening with Go was a great way to get the night started.
I don't think I will ever tire of hearing DTE, Animal, Porch, Why Go, Hail Hail... and Present fuckin' Tense!!!
It was a really cute moment when they acknowledged Mike McCready's dad in the crowd. So sweet.
I can't wait for Thursday in Hamilton. Here's hoping they open that No Code vault just a little bit further (and perhaps throw in a little Hard to Imagine ).
Opening with Go was a great way to get the night started.
Oh, man... maybe I take that back. Forget Go - we could have had Oceans!
It's one of my favourite songs from when I was a kid and the only song I haven't heard from Ten. I would have freaked the fuck out! Although, I freak the fuck out regardless of what's being played.

In 2008 before an Eddie solo show, as Eddie was walking up the back stairs into Massey Hall, he reached into his pocket and threw down a handful of picks. A girl goes running to collect them and I run towards them too, but a security guard grabs me and says 'they're for her'. I approach her and say "i'll give you $20 for one pick, you have so many" and she says 'sorry, this one's for my friend, and this one is reserved for my other friend and this one is for my other friend and i need to keep these ones for myself'. bitch.. She got so many and didn't give me one. Tonight, just over 3 years later, I see them throw a pick down, and with my face full of piercings, I dive for it, I've wanted one for so long. I cut up my hand pretty good trying to reach through the underside of a chair to find that someone else snagged it just before I was able to. I pleaded with him for a few minutes until he finally handed it over. I know he didn't want to and I couldn't believe his kindness. I will thank him forever. What an amazing guy, I hope he doesn't feel bad about it, he should feel good, and I owe him at least a drink. I'm glad you posted on here because I wanted to thank you again and let you know your kindness was not wasted on an asshole. You're amazing for doing that and I hope you get amazing karma in return. You deserve it. Thanks again. I won't ever forget it. The show was obviously amazing, but you helped make my night. Thank you.

sweet!!! nice job peeps! true gratitude and little reason to regret. I once grabbed a stone pic after it fell out of some guys hands essentially and still feel like a bit of a dick about doing that all these years later. It was a moment of selfishness and entitlement that really doesn't need to be there b/c we all have it quite damn good. Yay yay:)
ps awesome show, didn't mind the repeats at all, they were all solid crowd singalong types. Loved cinnamon girl tag and will continue to hold out for a full version in toronto one of these years
Another awesome setlist! Good on ya Toronto!
Leeze and DImi - so glad that you have seen such memorable shows during your big adventure. Congratufrigginlations.
To the guy who passed on grabbing the pick, to let the manuvthehour have it - you did the right thing, and due to the inalienable laws of karma, you should be rewarded with more than a pick in the next 18 months - expect some good fortune!

Cause its not like everyone there went to both shows, hell I bet the majority of people didn't
Oh, man... maybe I take that back. Forget Go - we could have had Oceans!
It's one of my favourite songs from when I was a kid and the only song I haven't heard from Ten. I would have freaked the fuck out! Although, I freak the fuck out regardless of what's being played.
Maybe next time.
Yeah but you did the right thing. Isn't that what matters?
I would have done the same even though It would kill me at the time........as time goes on it will get easier I'm sure

Loved cinnamon girl tag and will continue to hold out for a full version in toronto one of these years
Leeze and DImi - so glad that you have seen such memorable shows during your big adventure. Congratufrigginlations.
To the guy who passed on grabbing the pick, to let the manuvthehour have it - you did the right thing, and due to the inalienable laws of karma, you should be rewarded with more than a pick in the next 18 months - expect some good fortune!
Send my credentials to the house of detention
Disappointed? They played 14 songs that they haven't performend at the 4 shows before????
