With people being ejected..... it's what happens when a little person is given a small amount of power.
I mean it was the end of the show. A foot in the isle!
Security people need to lighten up.........A LOT!
I'm not saying that they shouldn't do their job.
Just don't be an A-HOLE about it.

    Before I forget...I really enjoyed myself. I wish I could've experienced Sunday's show.
That was show 14 for me. Seat wise, I've been a lot closer but the angle tonight was sweet.
I got some great pictures on my crappy camera. Not bad considering I didn't think any would turn out.
Ottawa will be number 15 for me & I will be a lot closer to the stage.
Plus the tradition that was broken for T.O.#2 will continue in Ottawa!!!!!!!
Man..... I wish I could put a Pearl Jam pic in here as my siggie!!!! LMFAO!!

When I was walking to the show a bird shit on me. It took me by surprise and I turned to my girlfriend and said, "oh well, I bet they play I got shit (on) tonight." haha. What a great couple of shows. Was only planning on going night 1, but got tickets in the 3rd row on the side stage right next to Mike's dad. What a cool guy. He was taking pictures w/ fans and singing along to the songs.

mike's dad was in quite an interesting section

there was a large sweaty kid almost directly behind dad in a grey tanktop... which got darker gray from the armpits out during the show... from the other side of the arena it didn't look like he knew the words but he loved to raise his arms and scream... oh and sometimes dance like Van Damme
    dammebaby.gif

nice to see someone enjoy something so much... from a distance

then a couple of rows back and on the aisle... near where the tunnel was... there was a woman in all black who was dancing all night... it was hypnotizing and i wanted to thank her for also enjoying the show so much

    great times in toronto

although i took a video of baba... and as i scanned my section (118) it was pretty dead during the "we're all wasted part"... oh well

Haha, I was in your section and I remember seeing Mike's dad - awesome! And I think I also know what woman you mean

I had more fun in section 118 than in 120 the night before ... Oh I wish I could be there again.

Here's my story from this fantastic night.

Before Alpine, I had only seen PJ 4 times, people always ask, "How can fans see them so many times?" I now know why, more than ever. My friends and I scheduled Alpine, Montreal, both Toronto's and Hamilton. Each and every night they continue to amaze me.

We had 10C tickets last night, my brother won the lottery. FRONT ROW CENTRE! He and I had a quick chat, then decided to give them to my friend and his brother. They got us into Pearl Jam to begin with, it was the least we could do. They've never won the lottery and I knew it was the correct choice. They were reluctant, but we forced it upon them.

From where I was, 109 row 25, (mikes side directly in line with row 1) I still had great seats and I could see my friends rocking out in the front row. Eddie gave them the bottle of wine and they managed to snag a tambourine and a pick, which they gave to my brother and I.

We were definitely rewarded, in large effect, last night. SAD, RATS AND PRESENT TENSE all in one set. WOW. I got choked up during PT. I've wanted to hear that song live for a VERY LONG TIME.

I cannot express the gratitude I feel for this band even existing. I am honestly at a loss. Chloe/Crown, Uncle Neil, the debut of Ole, playing songs that have been on my bucket list.....what an amazing pair of concerts.

Thank you Pearl Jam, thank you 10C, thank you PJ fans! See you in Hamilton!

does the tambourine have skin or blood on it?

you know some psycho would pay a bunch on ebay for a shot at some Ed Blood ;)

Holy crap....how funny.....I was in 118 too and wondered if she was in pain because there was a lot of movement, so to speak. More up and down........not to be crude, but you don't see that very often...like the old Dolly Parton joke,...."did you hear how Dolly Parton got two black eyes??" She took up jogging.....

118 was great.....only problem was that they released tickets for a few pairs (which allowed me to both get some last minute upgrades and to be surrounded by two mid-aged couples - one kissed and talked all night, and the other one had the lady ask me about 14 songs in how long they would play....when I told her she said, oh, are you really being serious??)

Hahaha, I never checked. I think it was the second one he threw (the first one over his head, backwards to nobody). So I don't think it was one of the ones with blood on it.

Right aisle of 13th row centre - when facing the stage. Security had to lie to the cops saying I was 'belligerent, intentionally defiant of their orders, and looking at them and flipping them the bird' everytime they looked over. Really?! I think I had other things on my mind than trying to piss off security. It was ridiculous... I've never seen anything like it! We were all just trying to enjoy the show...

Just amazing. Show 6 for my wife and I. Got tix that afternoon at 3:30 on Ticketmaster 5th row side stage, Stones side, right behind Ed's wife. It was cool when Ed used his guitar to reflect the spot light right at her for a second and then see the little grin he gave her after. She seemed to be having a good time, which i'm sure he's happy about.

People complain so much on songs being repeated and so on. We've been to many other concerts before by other bands, and I would never have gone to back to back nights to hear them like we just did for PJ. We as fans, no matter how many times we've seen them, from once to 30+ should ever complain. They so totally accomodate us it's ridiculous. They could just cash it in but they really seem to show that they are interested in pleasing everyone there.

Can't wait to see them again.

I brought a date to the show and security wouln't let us in because she tripped just as she was going inside the ACC. They were oh you can't get in because your intoxicated. What a fucking bunch of loosers. Needless to say my night was ruined and only got to see 4 songs

Security was ridiculous all night (we were right by Mikes dad). They threw a couple out three songs in for taking pictures. One guy accosted the bass player for Mudhoney when he and Mark Arm were sitting in are area to watch the show. Yet, they did nothing to the drunk asshole who kept dancin up and down the stairs.

Pretty disappointed actually... 6 repeats from night 1 plus "Last Kiss". But my real complaint is not a single song from "Riot Act" or "Pearl Jam" between the two nights. I just don't get how you can completely neglect those albums while repeating so many songs over a two night run in a city. The fact that yesterday was so amazing could be contributing to my disappointment as well... I mean, how do you top that? Just my two cents though, which is worth about exactly that. I heard plenty of people saying what a great show it was. Still the greatest band on Earth. As for the security, I got into it with one guy during "Yellow Ledbetter" because he made a 5 year old kid get off of a guys shoulders. This poor kid probably couldn't see shit the whole night and the guy in front of him was nice enough to put him up at the end and this dick comes and ruins it.
Another amazing Pearl Jam show, loved the setlist, I agree that it would have been nice to hear some off those albums but regardless it was a great night! This was my 14th show but it was my sons 1st. He was the boy that the very kind man in front of us held on his shoulders. Security was brutal but I have always said that Pearl Jam fans are the best and Monday night did nothing but prove me right. Every single person we saw either gave him a high five or a fist bump. We were in row 20 and everyone around us did everything they could to make sure he could see and made sure he had a great time. Proud to say he made it through the whole show and he loved the concert. Also, never been more proud to be a part of the group that is Pearl Jam fans, I want to say thank you to all the amazing people we met that night. You all came to see an amazing show and you all took the time to make sure his experience was a great one! He's wanted to go for a while and I know that this will not be his last show! Thank you all so much!

    My thoughts on the show:

-PJ was great! Awesome to hear Light Years, I got Shit, Present Tense, and Up in my Tree.

-I'm from the states and everyone in Canada was super nice!

-Am I the only one who thought Mudhoney was terrible? Part of me respects that they were an original band from that era of the Seattle music scene and they haven't changed their sound... but the majority of me thinks they haven't grown at all as muscians and turn their amps up way to loud to compensate for crappy music. Every song sounded like each person in the band was playing a different song...

-This was my first 10C show, I joined just over a year ago despite being a fan from early on (I litterally bought Ten the day it was released and have loved everything since). I think I'm done with the whole 10C thing because it's been a poor experience pretty much the whole way through. Obviously my number is pretty high so I didn't expect front row seats, but I got section 120 which was on the side near the back of the arena. I paid my $20 to be a member, spent hours online dealing with server crashes then had to use ticketmaster the next day anyhow to get the 10C tickets, waited over an hour in a ridiculous will call line that was poorly managed, then got mediocre seats... I saw quite a few other disappointed faces walking away from the will call windows as well. All in all, I definitely won't stop loving PJ's music, but the 10C thing is pretty ridiculous. I'm hearing that people were still able to get tickets 5 rows back the same day of the show on ticketmaster...

    1. The server was a disaster for tickets this year but it's never been that bad in the past.

    2. The arena holds back tickets for every show for VIPs, season ticket holders, the Queen (in Canada, that's actually true) and then if they don't get claimed they release them later on. That's not 10c's fault, that happens at every venue for any show.

    3. Toronto had a TON of Ten Club fan seats, way more than at most shows. I'm sure people thought they'd be closer than they were in some circumstances. If you only signed up this year I'm sure they weren't the 15th row floors you were hoping for. That's not what's promised. You get access before they go on sale to the general public. You weren't sitting in the nosebleeds. You didn't pay a premium for tickets or have to hammer Ticketmaster with the general public onsale.

    4. The Will Call line was also managed by the venue, not 10c itself. You may have noticed the guy in an Air Canada Centre shirt who was incredulous that having one window for everyone from N-Z in the alphabet was stupid.

    5. Enjoy fighting with the general public for tickets the next time around.

    Re. Mudhoney:

Haven't heard Mudhoney yet this tour, but I think one of the things that makes PJ stand apart from the other "Seattle scene" bands is their ability to embrace subtlety and intricate textures in their music. Jazz it ain't, but there is a decent degree of technical competence. Steve Turner is actually a great guitarist but this is not apparent live, and Mudhoney is a loud, messy wall of sound in the live setting. Its fun, but does become old.

That happens a lot at larger venues. From what I understand, it would have been far worse in Boston, Philly or NY. The 10c doesn't guarantee you the best seats in the house, but you aren't stuck in the nosebleeds either. Before you abandon your membership, I would give a smaller city a go. The Crowds may not be as intense but you will probably move up considerably. People headed out to tonight's Ottawa show are reporting significant movement because of the lower fan club turnout. If there is a US tour next year, pick a smaller city and throw chance to the win. If that fails, there's always the lottery (10c lottery that is).

I agree....I wouldn't panic or abandon ship just yet. Honestly, there are so many 10C members, I don't know why you think 120 is really that bad in a city like Toronto. I got 107 row 6 night one and I like you am a lifetime fan who only became 10C 2 years ago. Then I hit the jackpot and got 10th row right/center via lottery on Monday night. I couldn't be happier with all the goods, tickets, and such. Sometimes you have to go outside 10C (I had to pull major strings to score side stage behind Mike at MSG1 last year) but hey, it's always better to have options and 10C at least gives you that.
    2009 - Philly Spectrum3 10/30
    2010 - MSG1 5/20
    2011 - EV Beacon1 6/21, EV Tower 6/25, Toronto 9/11, Toronto 9/12
    2013 - Wrigley 7/19, Philly1 10/21, Philly2 10/22

Was at pj 20 and both toronto and everything was amazing but i dont understand how a pj fan who has been to many shows over the years can compare any show to pj20. It was simply a unique experience that has its own place.

I went to both shows and they were amazing - the shows themselves. This was the first time I've used the 10c to get tickets, though I have been a member for a few years. We got row 33 and 31 respectively..and I have to say, for the ACC at least, I'll never go that route again. Unless you're in the first 10, or are a giant, it is impossible to see anything. If this were the Ampitheatre, it'd be a different story. But the ACC floors are terrible. After the first night of straining our necks to see a glimpse of the band we decided to sit up in the restaurant, which is at skybox level, and had an awesome view for the entirety of the second show. Definitely had a better time the second night but the music and energy from both nights was outstanding as usual.

If you were in the building, then you had good seats. Better than the thousands who didn't have the opportunity to attend.

My 10c number's 438-XXX (why oh why didn't i join way back when? Oh, right, 'cause I never notify anyone when I change addresses...). I wasn't expecting front row, ended up getting 29th row on the floor (mike's side). And you know what? I had a blast there. Sound was good, I could see just fine, and the neighbors were cool. Had to Ticketmaster night 1 (my own fault - can never get those damn anti-spam words right and by the time I got through the audio test night 1 was sold out) and ended up in Section 121. You know what? Had a great time there, too. Sound was good, I could see just fine, and the neighbors were cool.

Focus on the show, and how awesome it was, and it'll all be groovy. 10C will hook you up more often than it will let you down.

Well no kidding. My point was that the ACC is a shit venue for floor seats. Well it's a shit venue for anything really. And I was focusing on the show. Or did you miss the part where i said that the music and energy from both nights was amazing as usual? I've heard of selective hearing, but selective message-boarding is kinda ridiculous.
