Nah, what did they do?None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe that they are free.

last spring the competition committee originally suggesting putting the ball on the 25 for a touch back instead of the 20.but the owners did not go for that.
if you're going to move the kickoff up 5 yards why not move the touch back up 5 yards too? makes sense to me. doing that would add a little strategy to the kickoff too. since average returns are less than 25 yards it would make teams less likely to want to kick the ball out of the endzone. would not shock me to see them go this route next spring........or they could just go back to the 30
with that said most people don't remember that this is where teams kicked off from prior to 1993. i don't know about you but i remember football being pretty, pretty awesome prior to 1993 despite fewer returns.

I've not liked costas for years because of his desire to make everything sound dramatic.81 is now off the air0 -

he grilled goodell about every question i wanted him ask in that short time frame. even, when talking about the hgh testing, asked if he thought the union was stalling to protect players who would test positive in a test today. it was good stuff.
i do agree that he can be annoying like that. he's still better than just about every other announcer/studio host ou there imo.www.myspace.com0 -

like i said this is the way kickoffs were when we were all kids--assuming you are around 30 years old. people will get used to less returns, but they'll still be there. it's just a hot button issue for people right now since it's new.
hopefully the tinker with it next spring though.www.myspace.com0 -
