I was lucky enough to go on Saturday to the Metro show - they are absolutely amazing live. I havent seen them in a long time (since 2005)...

They played 2:40 and only took one small encore break. Although I know a lot of people complain about their shows being mostly greatest hits it felt pretty good and the new album being played in the entirety was pretty solid.

And shirts for $20... how is that possible when PJ charges $35?

hmmm.....seriously thinking of going to the NYC show. I am all set for the Philly show the week before, but this is MSG - good excuse for a weekend in the city too

    can't beat $20 shirts!

My plan right now is to decide to go to a show after school starts, so I can check the syllabus for each of my classes to make sure no exams or papers are due. If nothing major is due for those classes, that's when I'll figure out what show to go to. I will go to a Foo Fighters show on this tour.

Seeing them @ MSG would be pretty solid... I just wished they mixed up the sets a little bit. It feels like if you see one show per tour you're going to see 90% of what they play on that given tour.

But still -- they approach their shows so differently than PJ and in a lot of ways its not a bad thing. They don't take it AS seriously, they maintain a crazy high level of energy all show and they really seem to engage the crowd a lot. Not that PJ don't do that... but Foos are up there in terms of putting on a show with just about anyone!

Hope everything works out for you! I'm with ya, juggling wanting to see shows with college classes can sometimes be super annoying!

The way they do shows reminds me of Green Day - setlists don't vary too much night to night, but holy crap what a show they do!! They (Green Day and Foo) put everything into a show, I am not sure how they hold up every night!

And MSG is typically a great place to see a show and bands will go all out there - I saw Green Day there in 2009 and it was about a 3 hour show - just amazing - they covered The Who's "A Quick One While He's Away" and I absolutely loved that. I can only imagine how the Foo Fighters will be there - If I had an easy choice, MSG would be the one to go to.

Agreed! I've seen PJ, DMB, Muse, and John Mayer there and all have been unreal shows! Bands certainly do bring their A-game to the Garden! :)

Right now I'm thinking of doing MSG because of the reason you gave. I could miss my morning class.

Looking to sell 2 tickets for the Monday, 9/26 show at IZOD. Seats located in Sec. 126 Row 19.

I'd like face plus the fees paid, which totals $145.

Thanks! I heard a lot of people had trouble getting tix this morning, was smooth sailing for me so I'm very grateful that luck was on my side this time!! I hope people who missed out this morning can score seats on Friday!

Toronto show was fun, really liked Rope and Walk, from the new album, the live performance won me over to how great these songs are. Taylor Hawkins is a frickin savage on the drums, especially the new tunes. Kinda lost me on Alandria, seemed slow and sludgy, maybe they were a bit burnt out from Sunday night, felt Long Road to Ruin seemed similar.

Loved, loved hearing Generator, one of my FF songs, no one I was standing around on the floor seemed really into, kind of a break for the pit, loved it, was rocking out, great tune.

Dave was hilarious as always and was running up and down the ramp and around the stage and headbanging. Alex Lifeson (sorry spelling) from Rush was there and he mentioned it on stage. So much energy, what an awesome lead singer has become

The backstage camera is still hilarious for before the encore, they did that in the 2008 tour and it was funny then.

Finally, a date near me. DC. Sec 101 on the presale. But considering I forgot about it until it was 40 mins in, I'm pretty happy with that.
