Hey there! Anyone staying at the Le Meridien "King Eddie"? I got a very good rate through a friend; I'd rather be at the Westin but it ends up being almost double and I think I can handle the half mile walk. King Eddie is a little stuffier though so worried I may be the only one there :?

MrMerkinball, would love your thoughts as you are the expert!

Really excited for the shows (don't actually have tix for the first night yet, but that will work out I am sure) and to meet more of you ... really the best fans I've ever encountered!

  • Hello -

I'm also heading in for Toronto on 9/11, staying the weekend, and am looking for some advice. I am a Starwood Platinum, and will be using points for a free stay. Any thoughts/or advice where to book? Looks like my choices are:

    Sheraton Centre Toronto
    Le Meridian King Eduard
    Westin Harbour Castle

Any help is appreciated. Also, we're planning on doing it up on that Sunday, possibly Jays/O's, followed by watching some NFL football (opening weekend), followed by my version of PJ20...

    Looking forward to meeting up!

Yep! I'll hooked up for Toronto, Ottawa & Hamilton. Haven't yet booked for Montreal. Need to find some promotion codes for Novotel there.

I take it you have an A Card for Novotels? I have managed to get discounts by using my loyalty card :D or at least match some special offer rates.

Don't have an A Card. Didn't even know about that.

Found something cheaper for the 2 night's that i'll be staying in the city.

I was able to book the Holiday Inn Downtown Centre this week through Priceline. I tried several bids, and it finally accepted $140US + tax per night, which came to a total of $328US for two nights (Sept 11 & 12). I've stayed there several times before, when it was a Days Inn, and had no complaints. Rooms are a bit on the small side, but fine.

For those of you staying at the Delta Chelsea, be sure to set at least a few minutes aside for a couple trips down the waterslide! Very fun. Had a great time when we stayed there in 2009.

Just booked at the Radisson East through travelzoo for only $79 Canadian per night. It's 12 miles from the Air Canada Centre

no need to have a car in the city ... everything is pretty much downtown ... you can walk, transit or bixi
