So my dad has a surprise birthday party on Saturday night, and I have to occupy him for 6 hours beforehand. Think I'm taking him to Flying Fish, Yards, and/or Phila Brewing Co. Gotta go to lunch too. Maybe For Pete's Sake? Any other suggestions?

    applebees.

That's really helpful. Thanks man. :|

Petes Sake, you don't need me to tell you though. Philadelphia Brewing and Yards are both fairly convenient to it too.

Johnny, sounds like you're staying in the Philly area? I mean, how many more places can you go to? That sounds like a solid plan right there.

I think Victorino leads the Phillies in WAR ;) but yeah, if he's hurt he should be taking a break and get healthy for the 2nd half. Lots of ground to cover out there between the terrible corner OF's. (even though it was his thumb and that should have no bearing on his ability to cover ground, so I'm not sure what my point was)

before last night he was leading them in SLG % too, which is pretty sad. not sure if kong's outburst put him ahead of victorino

    standard tap. love that place

monks is good too. haven't been there in ages.

not sure if your dad is a beer guy or not. or a baseball guy, but phils play at 4...that could help kill time

lineup is so bad. ibanez's OBP is under .300  . combine that with his defense and he might be a worse regular than pedro feliz was in his last couple of years here. they need to force him into retirement. like tonight

polanco to see a spinal specialist now...

these injuries are fucking insane...as is the resilience of this team to overcome them.

I would say its more Halladay, Lee and Hamels than resiliency but whatever you like to think.

Old teams get hurt, the Phillies are the oldest team in baseball.

old but wise, my friend. old, but wise. they know how to win, bottom line.

and yeah, having the greatest rotation in the history of mankind doesn't hurt either.

let's see if young kendrick can hold onto this 4-0 lead for the sweeeep

the division titles are nice, but winning in the playoffs is all that matters. old and wise certainly wasn't pretty last year

    sloppy game tonight

Rollins is finally starting to hit a little bit. Hopefully he can sustain this. If he's on base consistently this team is unstoppable
