Ed solo does NOT count as a Pearl Jam show!

Can you knock those of the list if the rest of the band wasn't on the stage while it was played?
Check your ticket stub; if it says Pearl Jam then you saw Pearl Jam. If it says Eddie Vedder then you saw Eddie Vedder. Pretty simple.
Wow that's awesome! You just enlightened me to the fact that I saw the only full band performance of "Guaranteed" at VA Beach in 2008. Oh wait, no I didn't... :roll:0 -
HA!!!!!! Charles N. Reilly - the youngsters won't even get it...

Does that make us old-timers?
PJ - 14+AV (2) still to come
EV - 1

I once worked a birthday party for the kid of a music exec at White Sox stadium in Chicago and there were a bunch of video birthday messages for the little brat. One of them was from Pearl Jam (no I'm not kidding). Does this count as an official Pearl Jam show? I need to make sure my count is "official". :twisted:No need to be void,... or save up on life...

Whats the arguing about??
Pearl Jam and Eddie Vedder are different.
Interesting that people think otherwise.
I have seen Eric Clapton in concert but have never seen Cream... This makes sense, right?Seen PJ 21 times live from 1994-20190 -

If you saw Brad, Tres Mts. or Flight to Mars would you count those? I know Ed plays PJ songs but if the rest of the band isn't there playing along, it is not Pearl Jam. Ed won't even say the words 'Pearl Jam' during his shows, he says 'that band I'm in.' Which reinforces my point. I've seen Ed solo twice and they were both incredible awe inspiring performances, but in no way would I count them as Pearl Jam shows.
IMO!

Pear Jam is the band, with multiple members. EV is just one member of the band. I would think you have to distinguish the two, agreeing (not arguing) with the op. I will be seeing my first EV show Tuesday, and I've seen PJ 6 times.I know I was born and I know that I'll die

Is it just as silly as the people who put future shows in their sig? I mean, the shows haven't actually happened yet. You haven't actually been to the show(s) yet.
IMO, people putting shows in their sig is another way of saying, "my penis is bigger than yours." Doesn't apply for females, I guess.

Well, I think counting shows is a pride factor....
we are very proud and faithful fans.
I am just as proud of my many EV shows as I am my PJ attendance.
So yes, I lump them together but with distinction
though I forget at the moment how many I got!

Did i say I was the "PJ God?" No I did not. And your post makes no sense. My whole point was if you're at a Pearl Jam show it will say so on your ticket. If you're at an Eddie Vedder show it will say so on your ticket, and you'll probably notice that the rest of the band aren't there, so it is NOT A PEARL JAM SHOW! This has nothing to with being a God or thinking that my opinion is testament, it's just REALITY! I`m sure Stone, Mike, and Jeff and Ed too for that matter would think you were on crack to think otherwise. Pearl Jam are a BAND! Look up the meaning of the word. If you just have one piece of that band, you are getting just that. It`s absolutely absurd to think it counts as a PJ show.
Clearly there are some people who agree with me, and some who do not, and some who just don`t care. SHOCKER! Just like any debate I expected to hear some different opinions and that is the whole point of starting a discussion in the first place. Just because you don`t agree doesn`t mean you have to get rude or insulting. That`s how threads get locked. State your opinion, or don`t. Agree to disagree!
Keeping count of shows attended is obviously important enough to some people that the Ten Club has included it in the profile section. You can find every show by date and venue in the database. Last time I checked, Eddie Vedder solo shows did not appear.
I rest my case. 8-)0 -
Why did I even bother clicking on this one. I know I have been to well over 50 shows, but I just don't feel the need to count anymore. The only thing I know and care about is that I will be at PJ20.0
-
Well, my counter for Edward Norton shows is up to 1. And nobody can take that away from me. I was there for Beacon II, and he was on stage for 2 songs. Count 'em! 2 songs! My official decree is more than 1 song, and it counts as a show for whoever it is.
So, I got a 2 fer. EV 1, EN 1. I am so psyched, I might update both my sig and profile (though since profile doesn't have a separate counter for EV or EN, I'm counting it as 2 PJ shows. There's just no other way to count them properly until 10C gets on the ball and allows counting for all this other stuff I need counted separately).Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.0
