This is a comment I heard directed at me at a recent Social Distortion show. The irony of this is that I am 8 years older than Mike Ness; the kid making the comment was at least 30 years younger than Mike. The older I get, the more I run into this sort of “ageism” at shows. Getting older does not diminish my love of music, it actually makes it grow as there are more and more bands to hear and appreciate. So, when you see a little “old” lady at PJ20, remember that I love PJ as much as you do. By the way, 9/4 will be the 47th anniversary of my first concert, the Beatles. I’ve also had the pleasure of seeing Jimi Hendrix, Cream, The Who, The Doors, and Led Zeppelin, to name a few. Age does have its rewards. So, if I live through another Lollapalooza, I hope I am able to meet some of you and to celebrate my all-time favorite band with you all.

We really need to up the font size for the aging 10C population. Speak up, Norm, I can barely hear you.15 years of sharks 06/30/08 (MA), 05/17/10 (Boston), 09/03/11 (Alpine Valley), 09/04/11 (Alpine Valley), 09/30/12 (Missoula), 07/19/13 (Wrigley), 10/15/13 (Worcester), 10/16/13 (Worcester), 10/25/13 (Hartford), 12/4/13 (Vancouver), 12/6/13 (Seattle), 6/26/14 (Berlin), 6/28/14 (Stockholm), 10/16/14 (Detroit)0 -
The older I get, the more I love good music. Grew up with the 'oldies': Beatles, Zep, Pink Floyd etc because my parents were into them....now I feel like an old fart but don't really care! I LOVE PJ and can't wait to go to PJ20. I will be twice their age (PJ age not the actual band members) and proud to be there
