I'm guessing late teens. I was torn between pointing out the age of the member of SD and telling him to f/off instead I just walked away.

In about 4-5 years he'll be at an all ages show thinking, "Man I wish this show was 21+"

I LOVE PJ and can't wait to go to PJ20. I will be twice their age (PJ age not the actual band members) and proud to be there :D
Can't wait either! And WHOSE age?? I don't know about you but I WAS 'their' age when I started going to see Pearl Jam!:lol: (or almost, anyway, depending on what age you mean). I think there will be a variety of ages there--they're 'classic' at this point. Like, for example, even though they were ahead of my time, I have always loved CSNY. In '94 (I think, may have been '95), I saw them in concert (without Young, unfortunately)...and it was SOO awesome!! It was weird because there were tons of empty seats, but the atmosphere was so laid back and the ages ranged from 2-70. One of the best concerts I've ever been to...anyway, I digress. Pearl Jam fans rock on!! regardless of age..

If it's under 100 degrees, I'll be sporting it...you know how us old folks are always cold.

This is a comment I heard directed at me at a recent Social Distortion show. The irony of this is that I am 8 years older than Mike Ness; the kid making the comment was at least 30 years younger than Mike. The older I get, the more I run into this sort of “ageism” at shows. Getting older does not diminish my love of music, it actually makes it grow as there are more and more bands to hear and appreciate. So, when you see a little “old” lady at PJ20, remember that I love PJ as much as you do. By the way, 9/4 will be the 47th anniversary of my first concert, the Beatles. I’ve also had the pleasure of seeing Jimi Hendrix, Cream, The Who, The Doors, and Led Zeppelin, to name a few. Age does have its rewards. So, if I live through another Lollapalooza, I hope I am able to meet some of you and to celebrate my all-time favorite band with you all.

  • I'm 52 years old.I have been going to concerts since I was 13. I saw Pink Floyd at the Palace Theater in Waterbury CT the night DSOTM was released and dozens of times after. I saw Zep with Bad Company warming up. I love Pearl Jam and see them every chance I get. The younger people can use us oldsters for information and history. i am glad to share my experiences with anyone. We seniors deserve respect and are glad to give it.

I think it's absolutely AWESOME that you are still going out and seeing shows these days! I'd be the last one to call you an old bag! I'm very jealous of what you've been able to witness musically in your lifetime too. I can only hope that I'll be able to do the same well into my "senior years" as well.

I really wish I could have seen Cream live like you have. The guitar work and Ginger Baker on drums....ooomphh! :D

This reminds me of when my mom was 70, she scored an 8th row seat to Smashing Pumpkins (she went solo, as the pumpkins aren't my dad's thing, to say the least). When they were going through her bag at the door, she says "the only thing you'll find in there is my Pepcid AC".

My little brother met his first wife waiting in line for Who tickets in 1976. Nineteen years later their son, my nephew, said I should check out Pearl Jam at their 1995 Red Rocks show because "Their singer is a huge fan of The Who and Neil Young". I joined 10C right after. Essentially, I am nine years younger than Pete and ten years older than Eddie. It's a nice niche in time to live- 40 years after my first Who concert, I'm going to PJ20.
