so i order the bluray Ed show via ten club and pay $23 and I could have got it at best buy cheaper and on time? :(
Exactly!
Even though that's how they roll, you can email them to cancel your order if you'd like to enjoy it with everyone else!
I'll email shipping and see if they get back to me, I'm sure it will come in the mail today... it's just interesting I can purchase it at Best Buy for $7.73 LESS usually 10 club gets the deals with things like this. Just ironic a giant corporation like Best Buy comes in and undercuts 10 club.
For $0.51 more I can get the bluray and dvd OR uke at best buy.........
What is the sound on the blue-ray? Is it some kind of lossless hd audio and is it 24bit 96khz? Is this in other words the first non vinyl release with truly great sound? Could the ones that has received the Water on the Road blue-ray please answer?
Says on the back - Audio: Uncompressed PCM Stereo and DTS HD MAster Audio 5:1 Surround Sound - if that helps?
Hi everyone, sorry to post a link in my first-ever post as a TC member, but I've put my thoughts about Ukelele Songs down in a blogpost, there's some other PJ stuff on there too, hopefully it'll be worth your while :-)

It does suck to have to wait, but I got the c.d. download and just now got the song book download.
They are trying.
Yeah, getting the mp3 download made it ok for me. I like giving my money directly to PJ/Ten Club rather than buying somewhere like Best Buy.
That said, for future albums, if they can't ship them so the CDs arrive on or before release date, they should advertise from the get go that it comes with a free MP3 download on release date. If that's not in place, I won't pre-order the next PJ album from Ten Club as I'm much more excited about full band albums and must have at least the MP3s day 1, and preferably the CD in hand.

2006: Camden I & II, DC
2008: DC, Ed DC II
I stand corrected - vinyl doesn't ship until June.
Listened to the album on my way to work - it's brilliant. I promised myself I wouldn't resort to ticket brokers to see E.V. in concert - I may have to give in to hear these songs played live.
Just got the CD & DVD in the mail! Can't wait to listen and watch and also can't wait to check out the digital songbook!! Gonna try & learn some of these songs on the uke

No joy! :( I need to try a bigger town. My hometown is depressingly free of Eddie Vedder - despite having some very good record stores. I guess there's always online ordering, but I'm a bit of an 'impulse buyer'. I like to come back home with something. Might need a road trip!

DTS HD Master sounds good but maybe someone who knows more about high fidelity lossless hd audio could tell how to find out if it's 24bit 96khz or something else? I don't have a blue-ray player yet and I ordered the dvd but I'm thinking of buying a blue-ray player...

The DTS HD Master Audio Surround track is 24/48 and it's outstanding. Great audio quality in my opinion. Haven't listened to the PCM Stereo track yet.

Yeah I was reading backwards through the thread..
Checked my email I have the link for the mp3 and the uke book
I didnt order the uke book tho ???
The vinyl edition "INCLUDES 44 PAGE BOOKLET and 48 PAGE SONGBOOK". They were kind enough to also send a digital version of these 48 pages and now if I could only open it on my Mac... Acrobat says it can't encrypt it...
Of course! I'm such an idiot. I didn't really realise that the songbook they sent us was part of the vinyl deal. I did think 48 pages was a bit short for the "songbook" version but didn't bother looking up the description (100+ pages). So, I guess the songbook version will be an expanded version of that vinyl one, which is already pretty cool on its own.
I have had an uke for years, I've just been waiting for Ed's instruction on how to play it!

I wonder if the dvd also is 24bit/48khz but I've understood that Dolby Digital is a lossy format??

I had the same problem until I downloaded the latest version of Adobe Reader which opened the songbook.

Where I'm not ugly and you're lookin' at me
Probably last pre-order I will do. Considering the album came out on 5/31. As of this morning, no MP3's, No vinyl, not to mention it cost $33.
Many thanks for 10c for allowing me to cancel my order.
you didn't even get a download link?
that sucks, i could send you it if you want?
