Yep, they probably knew the hardcore fans would already have it pre-ordered and these prices will entice people who were on the verge of buying.
Walked into Best Buy tonight to try to get him to sell me Water on the Road a night early, since tomorrow night I have the My Morning Jacket live stream and the NBA Finals. No go- he said there is a $10,000 fine if they get caught pre-selling Tuesday releases..

Actually Big W had Uke Songs in their Catologue today that goes on sale tomorrow for $19.58.
I did ask them on the weekend about water on the road and the girl said she couldnt
see it listed as a new release So dunno..
I'm done with buying anything through the fan club, which has turned into a capitalist money-grabbing business. Would rather wait til I can get the new album and dvd at JB HiFi. Might check out tomorrow whether they're in. Looking forward to getting them!
Can we expect an mp3 link from 10Club to our e-mails today if we pre-ordered the vinyl? It says release date June 2011 for the vinyl and May 31 for the CD. For the vinyl it says "DIGITAL MP3 DOWNLOAD LINK WILL BE SENT VIA EMAIL ON RELEASE DATE". I really hope they use the cd release date of today and send the mp3 link out to us asap!

I'm not sure that i could be 100% confident enough to guarantee the 10C didn't know this was going to happen.
What i want to know is what the heck is happening with this stuff in Canada? As of yesterday the CD/DVD/Blu-ray was all scheduled for May 31....today they are "usually ships in 9-13 days" or "Temporarily out of stock" in the case of the blu-ray. :-(
