interesting stat....how many times has this happened

I have no idea. It actually reached 10 innings.

My favorite no hitter is the Astros 6-pitcher no hitter at Yankee Stadium.

Steinbrenner was livid at the yankees over that but had champagne sent down to the clubhouse and waiting for the Astros after the game.

What a guy! ;) He also let the Marlins celebrate on the field for about an hour in 2003, right?

Well, then the thread bump is much appreciated.

Aaaanywho, this article already has my nipples hard. Especially if they could get their hands on Ethier, which could make more and more sense with LA being ran by MLB now. I'm sure they're going to scale that payroll back even further after the season.....

the phils offense blows. this team is gonna struggle to win 90 without utley

if Halladay, Lee and Hamels stay healthly all year there is absolutely no chance this team isn't winning 90 games. that's just a ridiculous statement. do you see the slop other teams send out there on a nightly basis?
as a betting man do realize the Phils have been underdogs in exactly 1 game so far this season? and the offense struggled mightily at times last year even with utley in the lineup. long term with this starting pitching they are locks to win 3 out of every 5 (if healthly) which would get you to 97 wins. don't overreact to small series of games.

they don't have werth either. and their bench isn't as good. neither is their bullpen. neither is their defense (without utley and werth...and ibanez went from 55 years old to 79 years old this offseason. I swear he pulls an invisible piano around in the outfield)

a ridiculous statement would be more like howard is better than votto

    Welp...there goes that...

I just hope this isn't making Oswalt worse, because he doesn't look right and his fastball is topping out at 91. And apparently this is his first time above 90 pitches this season. I dunno, I'd take him out no matter what after this inning.

yep, me too. Good shit by Murph (few days old, so you guys may have seen it already) about how the phils pen stinks.
