i remember when gop voters attacked obama in 2008 for "being a celebrity"....how can you vote for this clown if being a "celebrity" is a negative attribute??? how can you reconclie that criticism between the two candidates???"You can tell the greatness of a man by what makes him angry." - Lincoln

You can't be serious about Trump. Like really.
Though I'd love to see a Trump/Palin debate. And for my money, Clinton was the best of the last 35 years.Believe me, when I was growin up, I thought the worst thing you could turn out to be was normal, So I say freaks in the most complementary way. Here's a song by a fellow freak - E.V0 -

Trump has never really been serious about running for President, or about anything that doesn't serve his ego. He couldn't survive a primary in any state even if he tried to, and I think he's smart enough not to try. This is just a bigger, better orchestrated publicity stunt that the other times he's thrown his name out there.
donald trump can be president ... easily ...
the other 3 guys have some semblance of integrity ... in order to occupy the oval office - you need to be able to sell your grandmother for $3 and a bag of popcorn ... trump fits that ...
he can easily win the gop nomination for the sole fact that his name is recognizable ... his credibility, policies and experience are totally irrelevant to the gop masses ...
what i find funny is that the introduction of trump makes palin's run less likely ... as they are after the same folks ...0 -
Palin has no chance in hell and i think we all agree. There is a chance however that Trump could have her as a VP just to try and scoop the social conservatives since he has a good grip on the fiscal conservatives.
Myself, I am a fiscal conservative. Not into the religion, the pro-life and all that jazz. But, unfortunatly in order to win, a republican has to pretend to be on their team. One of the problems of a two party system. You have to suck up to all sorts of shit you don't agree with to get the votes.0 -

you would think palin has no chance but sadly ... she has a very good chance ... the fact, she is relevant at all is sad and is reflective of the general populace ...0 -
I should have named this thread "Trump has some nads"
Interview from Sunday on CNN
What about Libya? “Either I’d go in and take the oil or I don’t go in at all,” Trump said. When Crowley reacted with disbelief at what she’d just heard, Trump doubled down. “Absolutely, I’d take the oil, I’d give them plenty so they can live very happily. I would take the oil. You know, in the old days when you have a war and you win, that nation’s yours.”
What about his opponents? It seems that size matters, in terms of their bank accounts. Trump trumpets himself as a better businessman than Romney, claiming that “my net worth is many, many, many times Mitt Romney.”
Moving right along, how does Trump see one of the central strands of American history, the issue of race? He believes he should get support from African Americans, he said in a radio interview last week, but is unsettled by “frightening” polls that show the vast majority of black voters favoring Obama. “I have a great relationship with the blacks,” Trump said. “I’ve always had a great relationship with the blacks.”
Yes, he said “the blacks.” Twice.
Trump hasn’t been a particularly loyal Republican over the years. At various times, he’s given political donations to Democrats such as Rep. Charlie Rangel, Sen. John Kerry, Vice President Biden and the late Ted Kennedy.0 -
My aunty is Bahamian and hates the term African American cos it implies she's African (yes I know, Bahamian's are still African..but she's adamant about it..). I know other's who are Hatian, or Venezuelan, or Dominican, Trini, and Jamaican who also don't like 'African American,' preferring to just be called black. So I see nothing wrong with his wording.0

totally agree with the term black being okay to use, however, there is something condescending to me about putting "the" in front of any generalization.
"the" gays, "the" blacks...I don't know, I am not all that sensitive to things like that, but it always jars me a little when I hear groups described that way.
Maybe this interview was shortly after his roast and Lisa Lampanelli rubbed off on him a bit!that’s right! Can’t we all just get together and focus on our real enemies: monogamous gays and stem cells… - Ned Flanders
It is terrifying when you are too stupid to know who is dumb

You lack quite a lot of faith in the American people then, if you really think that. Okay, I know that George W Bush was elected (sorta) but he at least tried his best to appear like a nice respectful fellow. Trump wears his asshole badge on his sleeve.
The other three that I mentioned, though I pretty much respect all of them, are just too out of the mainstream to be elected, and none of them have that "regular guy" quality that one would need to be elected. Trump is out of the mainstream in his own way, though he's rich enough to swim there.0 -

so now he is having a very public mudslinging match with jerry seinfeld..this prick can not resist anything to get his name in the press can he? seinfeld canceled for a good reason and trump proceeded to rip seinfeld's most recent show that failed..."You can tell the greatness of a man by what makes him angry." - Lincoln

The Donalds wallet is made from Chupacbra leather and he can climb a cactus with ease.
In a deposition when asked about his net worth:
Trump: My net worth fluctuates, and it goes up and down with the markets and with attitudes and with feelings, even my own feelings, but I try.
Ceresney: Let me just understand that a little. You said your net worth goes up and down based upon your own feelings?
Trump: Yes, even my own feelings, as to where the world is, where the world is going, and that can change rapidly from day to day …0 -

Just go and TAKE the oil? Just like it would be okay for me to just go and take the money from the bank... or I can just take the stuff from my neighbor's garage... as long as I leave them enough so they can live happily.
What a great world that would be, huh?
As for winning wars... do we own Germany and Japan? Did I miss that lesson in my High School History class?Allen Fieldhouse, home of the 2008 NCAA men's Basketball Champions! Go Jayhawks!
