work ethic, the proven ability to lead, a risk taker, job creator and confident businessman with a strong sense of coutnry. That's what I see.
your right about that but no offense to you I just don't think he could be a president of this country, it's alot different than running a business with total control, a president can't have total control and that's what Donald
works with and has grown used to....but it would be interesting to see.
Godfather.
Exactly. Government isn't business and success in one does not mean success in the other. The guy's done well in business, but would be a horrible president. His 'fuck you' attitude towards other nations will get him absolutely nowhere, the man doesn't have an ounce of respect for anybody but himself.
Believe me, when I was growin up, I thought the worst thing you could turn out to be was normal, So I say freaks in the most complementary way. Here's a song by a fellow freak - E.V
Our government should be run more like a business. If we didn't have wealth as a country, we probably wouldn't enjoy the freedom to discuss who our next leader should be anyway.

Capitalist.
you could argue it already is run like a business, in that they are always looking at ways to increase revenue.
they just do a shitty job of allowing too much waste to occur.
you can sign it capitalist, but the US has long moved past capitalism and into greedyism. it's all about how much money you can snag now. why do you think so many jobs have moved to India/china, tawain, etc etc etc??? greed.
i'd tax the shit out of imports to pull the jobs back to the US. world love be damned.

In what kind of ways should it be run more like a business?

So when economic times are tough.. we should... what... downsize? Fire Americans? Maybe just outsource them?
Eliminate their citizenship and deport them to... where?

How about being lean and efficient?
How about making the tax code more user friendly?
How about making people work for their welfare checks? Last time I checked there was plenty of work to be done cleaning roadways, beaches, parks etc.
there are so many so called "private sector" companies that wouldn't be 1/2 as successful or even in existence without their huge government contracts. they sure are going to be pissed when that spending stops.
On President Bill Clinton vs. President Trump?

true that. and don't forget that w bush was a shitty failure as a businessman, and that completely preceded and predicted his utter failure as a chief executive.

I hope you realize... a lot of things have changed since 1991. One of them being, Trump's Art of The Deal concerning his casions cause him to declare bankruptcy... 3 times.
I hope you have changed since 1991.

Hail, Hail!!!
my point for the comment was to draw attention to the fact that he is a celebrity because of his skills as a businessman.
...
Point: Trump is a celebrity because he wrote a book about being a businessman. Okay... so, what does that have to do with him being a good political leader?
Do you think celebrities have those qualities that make good politicians?
Do businessmen (CEOs) have the moral standing to represent us?
...
From what I can tell about Donald Trump is that he has a massive ego. He thinks the President is the King or Emperor. He should take a class in U.S. Government and learn how the Constitution defines government and the role each part plays in it.
He would better serve as a Congressman first, to learn how the government works and the constraints if its regulations (i.e. The Constitution of The United States).
But, he would never do that because... his ego is too great to be a meer Congressman. His ego is more fitting of a King or Emperor. When we have a King or Emperor in America... he can run for that.

he was President twice. you can't even sniff where he's been.
"I just learned you canceled a show for my son's charity," ... "Because of the fact that I am being very aggressive with respect to President Obama, who is doing an absolutely terrible job as our leader."

Mr. Trump knows the meaning of freedom as the Founders knew the meaning of freedom when they wrote The Declaration of Independence. Mr. Trump will bring the standards of America back to equal footing and it will be an honor to say: GOD BLESS AMERICA."

name one President who didn't. your vacuum must be tough.

You need to explain this one.
1. Are you quoting Charlie Sheen, Donald trump and Nick Nolte? Why? Is it because they are all celebrities and you think these celebrities would make good Presidents?
2. Do you think the government is in the business of turning a profit? Like the government of China does?
3. I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about... vacuums? Have you been sniffing glue, again?

Don't sleep on this guy. Being from Minnesota I fully understand the damage that can be done when an incompetent leader wins an election based on straight talk. His big advantage is being outside of the political environment, and he speaks with a common sense that a lot of people want to hear...I don't think there is anything wrong with supporting the man to shake up the GOP and their stale primary process (how many more times can you choose between Romney, Huckabee, and Giuliani) but I think the nation as a whole needs to think long and hard about how badly they want an adversarial, ego-maniac as the president...all you need to do is look at Ventura's record to see what Trump would do in office...
He also supported a one time ~14% tax on people who's net worth was over 10 million to pay off the national debt...I would think a lot of people on here would support that idea and I am surprised how much flak he gets. If you listen to him during his political interviews, other than the birther stuff he comes across as someone who truly loves America and maybe he will use his money and influence to change the political climate to get away from back room deals and get politicians to start giving us information that is a little closer to the truth. Either way, anyone out of the main stream is good for the debate, but not necessarily good for the job.

It's about time. Why didn't they do this four years ago? Why let conspiracy theorist ramble on and on?
edit:
I think the damage is already done and this won't change most public opinion to those that doubt his citizenship. There will still be questions on the legitimacy of the document and theories on that it was forged. Why did team Obama let this percolate for so long? Very dumb to wait so long.
TRUMP on MSNBC JUST NOW: "I have just accomplished something nobody else has been able to accomplish." (He portrayed himself as relieved that he can move onto other issues and press will stop talking about it.
"I am really honored ot have played such a big role in hopefully, hopefully getting rid of this issue. Now. we have to look at it. is it real? Is it proper? What's on it? Hopefully it checks out properly."
