My co-workers begged me to give up Pearl Jam for Lent! Not happening... They apparently think I listen to PJ too much at work (I own the shop) in the kitchen. I tell them to stay out of the kitchen, but they complain because I have at least 50% PJ on the ipod out front.

Friday's are especially good....all Pearl Jam Friday! They love that! lol

Little do they know, I am getting Sirius this weekend...joke's on them. All PJ AAAAALLLLL the time! ;)

I used to bartend and I got to pick the music in the bar... it was tough filling up a playlist from my iPod that didn't contain at least an 50 PJ songs. It drove everyone else crazy!

I'm sure everyone here owns at least a few bootlegs, has seen them several times and owns a piece or two of memorabilia. But how extensive has your fanaticism reached? I find myself on this board constantly to hear the latest rumor, news etc. My car is constantly tuned into Pearl Jam Radio. When I get sick of that, I put the Pearl Jam section of my iPod on shuffle and create my own "Pearl Jam Radio". I'd say the nerdiest and most fanatic thing I've done is create a spreadsheet with every show I've been to and listed every song that I've seen so I have a reference of what I have seen and what I would like to see. (I was super bored and have an ex that still won't stop making fun of me...) So what kinds of things have you all done to prove your loyalty to Pearl Jam????

When I noticed this fan site had all the setlists back to 94 - I did the same thing.

    oh boy...lets see here...

-when my new friends at college ask what type of music is listen to i say pearl jam.

-my girlfriend tells me that i love eddie vedder more than i love her

-my girlfriend wants to watch a movie so i pop in Immagine In Cornice

-my ipod in the car is always on pearl jam/eddie vedder

-in class i draw the name pearl jam in my notebook and try to design my own sticker/logo

-some of my family talk about staging an intervention
Stab it down, fill the pages, suck my fuckin' life out, man
  • can I also throw in that I bought a brick from the Spectrum because I was at all 4 shows and the first night I was wearing my 'I love Eddie Vedder' tshirt and during black while the music was playing, Eddie was going across the stage checking out the fans. I was in the 12th row and had an end seat ,so I jumped out in the aisle and he noticed my shirt, pointed me out and let me know he loves me too lol it was one of the greatest moments of my life :D hahaha then he went back to the microphone and starting singing 'we belong together' lmao i was in heaven that night lol

    - I just spent over $240 on the SDE of Vs & Vitalogy to listen to the same songs that I have on numerous CDs and bootlegs "remastered"

    - I spent the 2 nights I had in Vancouver attending solo Eddie shows in 2008 (totally ignoring the friends I was staying with)... And spent all afternoon waiting for Eddie to arrive at the theatre istead of siteseeing :) Then because we didnt get to meet him, stayed back after the 2nd concert in about 2 degrees for over an hour until i FINALLY MET HIM (best moment of my life so far!!!)

    - I totally worked my holiday around PJ and travelled from London to Nijmegen Holland to see Pearl Jam in 2007.

    - In 2009 I travelled to Perth and Adelaide to see PJ cos seeing them in my hometown Melbourne just wasnt enough.

    - This year I travelled to Brissy to see Eddie solo and then also went to the 2 Melbourne shows :)

    - My family know not to bother buying me PJ stuff cos I have it all

  • I am just eternally grateful to the band for so many reasons.

And I am very proud to be a fan.

I did once stop a man walking in London because he was wearing a blue shirt with a sliced avocado.
    Well, fuckers, he still stands.

    I've been a fan since I was 15...I'll be 35 in October.
My kids can sing the lyrics to almost every PJ song..they're 5 and 8.

Travelled from Nottingham to Bridge School for just 80 mins of PJ. Which isn't easy.
