How big of a fan am I? Well most who know me, know that if gay marriage were legal in WV, and I were gay and Ed was gay and single, then we would be married. Yes, Ed is my gay crush. I have no problem with that and neither does my wife.

Oh and my 5 year old love to listed to Pearl Jam whenever we are driving in the car. (like she has a choice in the matter). But she surprised my wife the other day by reading Pearl Jam off of the tv screen when something came on. I'm teaching her quite proper things first, then the rest.

    LMAO!

My 5 year old loves Pearl Jam too. She sings most songs but gets most of the lyrics wrong...

I remember not sleeping the night before buffalo in 03, bundling 5 people into my friends jetta at 2 am and driving the 8 hours to buffalo from college. after getting lunch and a quick nap at our hotel we went to the show... we broke down about 3 miles from the show, left the car on jacks (needed a new tire and tie rod) and powerwalked the rest of the way to the arena (not entirely sure but we think we walked past a mugging/beat down in a side alley) just in time to see Brain of J. well worth it....

....oh and my fiance thinks im going to leave her for eddie...(and she maybe right  )

if we had missed the subway we would have been stuck in philly with no hotel until morning. so overall i was awake for a good 40+ hours.

happens to me all the time ....the last train outta philly after a show...found myself sleeping (sorta) in a molded plastic chair in 30th st station more than once. they used to have these little tiny tv sets mounted on a parking meter type post, you could throw in a quarter and watch tv for a half an hour at least. and hey, if you had a couple of people with you, you can even make that into a party...hahaaa...missing the train experiences are some of my best memories :D

Last August I took a two hour shuttle bus from my small town on the east coast of Maryland to the airport in Baltimore, flew to Little Rock to go to the Voices for Justice concert that night to see Eddie, then flew out of Little Rock at 5:40 am the next morning to New York so I could meet up with my husband in Manhattan for a friend's wedding that afternoon. And I'm an old lady!!!

Plus, while in Little Rock waiting for the concert, I went to the Clinton Library (I'm into presidential libraries). I was watching a funny video there when an older guy with a white ponytail, wearing a Hawaiian shirt, shorts and sandals, came up beside me and started talking to me about the video. All I could think was "Boom is talking to me!", so I asked him if he was Boom. He didn't know what I was talking about, so I mumbled something about him looking like an old friend of mine named Boom. At least when you're my age, you don't care about making a fool of yourself.

Bonus number one from my quick trip: I met up with my friend Jacky whom I met on this forum, and met her Pearl jam buddies.

Bonus number two: Johnny Depp!!! Eddie and Johnny performing together on stage -- the stuff of my dreams!!!
You can't be neutral on a moving train.

I successfully converted my entire family to Pearl Jam fans in the matter of a couple of years.
My mom has now decided that she wants to see them the next chance she gets.
She's a 58 year old Italian lady ... lol ... her appearance is not the all dressed in black like Italian lady but her personality definitely is.

Why you eat outside of the house my son ... food in the fridge ... you crazee, he crazee, she crazee, everybody crazee ....

    You get what I mean ? :D

    Should be a priceless show.

If the number is truly 99...i would make it my business to make number 100 be PJ20...even if they play a few of the rumored warm up shows first...i think that would be too perfect...

I myself have seen 10 shows on 1 continent

The number is truly 99. Was supposed to hit 100 in europe last year, but manic depression can be a crippling condition. Hoping for 100 this year. PJ 20 would be perfect .

    Wow....99 shows!! thats incredible! I

Umm what makes me a big fan...well, like many on here, I'm proud to say I've LOVED PJ for more than half my life!(ever since i was 13 years old back in 1993)

Some facts about me that drive most people insane (especially my husband) but supports the fact that I'm a big fan:

Just today I was more ecstatic about that fact that my trial of XM Radio that came with my car had the Pearl Jam channel than the fact that i just got a brand new car.

I own every album (duh!) several boots, every dvd and various concerts on VHS that I'll never part with even though I no longer have a VHS player. I have so many stickers, t-shirts, iron on patches, buttons, a No Code Stamp (!! - I used to stamp EVERYTHING), posters store displays from the Vitalogy era...you name it, I've got it.

Randalls Island - 1996 - my first PJ concert - I admit it I had a HUGE crush on Eddie....I wrote him a letter - alright a love letter of sorts. I even got my mom to write a bit in there saying she liked him a lot. I put it in what can only be described as a neon orange envelope - I really wanted him to see it. Silly 16 year old me thinks "when i toss this thing onstage, I'll need to weigh it down otherwise it will never make the stage. What can I use? CANDY! I'll put some candies in there for Ed!!!" Yeah, well, I only had caramels...It was a gooey mushy mess after being crushed for hours traveling, getting into the venue, waiting for a couple hours securing my spot about five "rows" of people back (it was a general admission show)... The plus side of this is when i bought a bootleg VHS of the show i SWEAR I can see my envelope flying through the air :P

I have a pearl jam scrapbook - started in approx 1994 up until about 1999 or so, my teen years- waaaay before scrapping was popular. I Have hundreds of photos, newspaper clippings, my ticket stubs, all sorts of Eddie/PJ stuff - even a five against one vinyl car decal like thing that I've never seen anywhere else....Everyone who has ever seen my scrapbook has told me that i am obsessed and that i need professional help.

I love making my own pearl jam ringtones for my phone.

I am known to spew out random PJ facts at people during conversation if something is mentioned that reminds me of PJ even in the slightest

I taught my friends six year old daughter that my favorite band is pearl jam and i test her in the car sometimes when I babysit her - she 100% knows pearl jam and elvis presley. :)

There are so many things that make me a huge fan...
    Its good to be back!!

Bought tickets to Lolla and the Vic and a Cubs game in 2007. And at the time I was unemployed. 4 years later it turned out ok, but my wife still reminds me about it. 24 shows, 2 continents, 389 PJ Discs (CD or Vinyl), 2 Brad Shows. 1,000,000 hrs on this forum. The usual stuff.
There's no need to say goodbye
