    Thumbing My Way is a really great song. I love the imagery of it.

    It's best heard in context. When I hear the grandness of I Am Mine juxtaposed against the hollowness of Thumbing My Way, the conveyance of Ed's lyrics and his vocal delivery between these two songs is, to me, the summation of a what a complex man feels ... almost bipolar in range, but measured, even, and resolutely wise.

    With stunningly beautiful music underneath.

    I think you seriously need adjust your hearing aid or at least clean it out. "Thumbing My Way" is easily one of the best songs off of "Riot Act".

    I'm not trying to insult you but your reasons for "Hating" this song baffle me.

    Perhaps the fact that you don't pay attention to lyrics explains why you don't "get" this song.

    lyrics are such a vital part of Pearl Jam's music...It's amazing that you even like Pearl Jam at all.

    That is not why I want to listen to PJ.
    If I wanted to fall asleep I would listen to to the Carpenters or Carole King. Not PJ.

    I'm not disagreeing with you, Mega but I listen to the mellow stuff to help me sleep. Of course I am a girl.

    Sometimes this song will make me cry and then I get happy again cuz it follows up with "You Are"

    I really wanted to hear "LBC" live but Eddie fucked up during the show I was at and quickly followed it up with "Corduroy" I really wanted to hear, lost 9 friends we'll never know 8 years ago today. Wait is that bad?
