Thumbing My Way sucks

I never hear this song more than 5 seconds, b/c that's how long it takes to hear those shitty opening chords. I know what horrid boredom lies beyond.

    I'm sure I've heard somewhere that the band proclaimed 'Thumbing My Way' as the best song that Eddie has written the chords for.. Maybe before 'Avacado' though.. and not sure where I've heard that, but I'm 100% on it.

    Granted, that could just mean that whenever Eddie writes music he just sucks, but I doubt it.. take it as you want.

    This song was always the song on riot act i didnt think fit the album and always skipped over it. However over the years it has grown on me but it's really a pretty generic song. But i mean, Ed has written arguably all the best pearl jam songs ever so whatever. I do think the line "I turned my back, now there's no turning back" is fuckin genius though! it's so true, if you can relate....

    This is a great song, one of Ed's best and it fits well on Riot Act, in my opinion.

    I gotta ask though Fanch, how the hell can you even mention Liam Gallagher?? he's the biggest wanker here in the UK, obnoxious, talentless and doesn't even have the intelligence to write anything worthwhile especially a song like Tumbing My Way.

    Leave Thumbing My Way alone in my opinion.

    if you don't like the song don't listen to it. But don't say it's a bad song.
    Maybe it's nor the hardest to play, etc. but it's a funcking beautiful song, very emotive.

    I'm not a huge Thumbing My Way fan but I like it. To enjoy this song, try to get through Come Back then go back and listen to Thumbing My Way immediatedly after. I'm not sure that enjoying Thumbing is worth the torture of having to listen to Come Back all the way through though.

    Its just a really good song.Simple songs are invariably the best songs. I mean The Mars Volta and Death From Above 1979 are arguably creative , but they are both utter SHITE! Also it has some of the best lyrics.(RE my Sig)

    Thumbing My Way was the first song off Riot Act that jumped out and grabbed me. Much like Come Back from Avocado. I love both of those songs. Not sure I understand all the hate. To each his/her own.
