Yep. They don't sell individual tickets through the 10 Club. You will see an announcement and they will go on sale here before they go on sale to the public on TM or LN.Fatal wrote:
Yes you buy them in pairs...you won't know where your seats are until you pick up the tickets the day of the show.
Nice! Thanks. Kinda worried about what seats I'll get though if I won't know until the day of the show...
I'll be biting my nails in anticipation the whole way there. Ha!0 -

so for someone like myself... i know i will be in the 10-12 th row .. any city any venue
Well yes and no. Depends where you see them.
I've seen Pearl Jam at high demand shows (MSG08) and relatively low demand shows (Toronto 09). My seats at the TO show were infinitely better than the ones at MSG (which were still quite good).
So yes you should have a rough idea based on the popularity of the venue, but if you see the band in different cities the quality of your 10C seats could be dramatically different.Shows: Montreal 98, Barrie 98, Montreal 00, Montreal 03, Montreal 05, Ottawa 05, Toronto 06, Vancouver Night 1 08 (EV), Vancouver Night 2 08 (EV), MSG1 08, MSG2 08, Montreal Night 2 08 (EV), Toronto Night 1 08 (EV), Toronto 09, Hartford 11 (EV), Ottawa 11, Ottawa 16, Ottawa 22.0 -

I have done it so many times and its still fun as sh^% walking up to that ticket window. Enjoy it, this band, and Ed solo both put on amazing shows. Have fun and you never know, you may just hit the lottery and end up in rows 1, 2, 9 or 10!!!!!Member 164xxx

Their tickets are lower because they go on REAL tours, not dinky little 12 show tours like PJ.0 -

This is true, unfortunately. The place I'd see him is NYC and places like NYC you're looking at a +$300 night with tolls, parking, some drinks etc... for 2 people.BUSH-lager wrote:Obviously some will defend and some will question - as is the case every tour.
I've never missed a local Ed or PJ show since 2000, but I think I may have to pass this time. Which is fine, I had a great run, but I can't drop $100 on an Ed solo show, plus all the other expenses that come with the night.
For Pearl Jam, yeah I'll pay that gladly!
Agreed - Pearl Jam is another matter entirely.
I really liked 'Into The Wild' but a lot of those songs were teases more than actual songs - nonetheless I loved it and the solo show I saw. This 'Uke' album though, I'm not as pumped for - and certainly not as pumped as I am for a new PJ studio album or the PJ20 fest.
All of this, plus the ticket price, and I'll let someone else enjoy.0 -

FOR ROBERT PLANT! And he played 5-6 Zeppelin songs. Sorry Ed, I think I'm sitting this out. (which sucks because I missed his first go-around because I was saving to get married). But I'm not really down with the ukelele.
PS. Remember when Pearl Jam took on Ticketmaster and no other bands really backed them? R.E.M. said they would then booked their tour through Ticketbastard like a week later. Yeah that sucked that they lost.
jeeezz..
what do you THINK you should pay?
what would be fair do you think?
it doesnt all go into Ed/Pj's pocket, y'know?
Your ticket price covers the following
-venue rental (which doesn't always include that listed below)
-venue insurance (usually compulsary)
-everyone in the entire venue who's working has to be paid,(guy taking tickets, guys selling beers, merch people, cleaners, riggers&tech staff)
-the promoters have top be paid for the advertising(radio/print/internet etc)
-the ticket agencies have to be paid/take their cut
THEN!
travel&accomodation costs for those listed below including and on top of having to pay
-the road crew
-the support act
-the bands manager
-and finally the act has to be paid.
So break it down, how much do you think would be a fair price for your ticket?
Dude, I'm not an idiot and I know it ain't all going to Eddie so you could've saved the condescending "jeeez and crap" y,know?.
Anyway I was comparing Eddie Vedder with Robert Plant and his band and it just doesn't add up for me. I love the band as much as the next guy and Ed Ved is the face of the band, but he's got 2 albums of solo stuff and is going to play the ukelele on like half the songs, which gets pretty old, pretty fast. As I said in another post, $95 a ticket adds up pretty quickly if you're making a night of it in NYC or a comparative place. Maybe he should bring back the tiered ticketing.
My point is this - when I can take 4 people (including myself) to see Robert Plant and it only costs aprox $75 more that 2 people to see Eddie Vedder at the same place, there's a problem. Agree or don't, I don't care. And yes I can afford it, but its not worth it to me. I'll just try to go see PJ20.0 -

and yet i get the same thing every show every town ....from the big cities to the small towns (no pun intended)
therefore it leads me to believe that certain people have certain opportunities that others dont ..just saying
i get what i have to get based on my # nothing more or less where as others seem to move around abit depending on things....

Whic is the same as saying 'I'm gonna stomp my feet and throw my toys from the cot and go to something else! but i'm gonna complain about it first!'
which is childish really.
it is what it is and no amount of whining on a message board's gonna make a lick of difference about it. At all. No point doing it really.0 -

Honestly, no one should tell someone what is "worth it" to someone else or what to do with your money. You are right, if it isn't worth it to you you probably shouldn't go. Especially if you aren't going to dig his new uke stuff.
If you think the Ed tickets are expensive, wait until you get a load of a 3 night PJ experience where there are only 9,000 seats and is one of only a handful of shows they do this year. hahahahahahahaMember 164xxx

I'll pay that if he comes here. I am not traveling to do it. No more. Ticket price is bad enough, but then factor in hotels, airfare for two, food and drink for two, etc. You are looking at $1000+ to see a show.
So, I guess that means I won't be seeing this show.Post edited by Flagg onDAL-7/5/98,10/17/00,6/9/03,11/15/13

You raise a good point about the high costs of touring, however, for larger acts, the ticket price is driven by demand, and not cost.0 -

Miley Cirus and Lady Gaga are pop acts who always charge more money because their iron cools down much quicker then an established act.Post edited by JOEJOEJOE on0 -

Miley/Lady Gaga do not have the same lifespan as Green Day. Green Day has a long term career, so they need to worry about sustaining their fan base.
Miley/Lady Gaga aren't as concerned about the long haul.0
