That's what I was thinking too. I guess we just have to wait until it's officially confirm ;)

    Edit:
Actually it looks like Minnesota is the northern part of the country. but now that I look at the map of the US, it does look like Wisconsin is some what in the middle of the county. Oh well, guess I'll be waiting for the official news.

Ok fair enough, there is still speculating to do but if Neily's info is correct then you do know more than before. You know it's not at Grant Park or The Gorge so you can at least make arrangements with friends in the area assuming you have any left after the amount of shooting board members comments down in flames on practically every thread on the forums! Honestly your comments spoil my enjoyment of reading threads on here sometimes as the topic in question usually gets abandoned and taken over with back handed responses to your know it all negative comments. You should learn to communicate with some manners here and stop sitting by the sumbit button waiting for threads to jump on. No offence.... :|

Less than 20 miles from home- that works for me! Assuming, of course, I can get tix. If they are promoting this as a destination show and it's the only one(s), it could be tough to even get lawn.
  • ok so i know we can all have our opinions and disagreements on here. god knows there have been plenty of arguments.

i myself as of late have been mentioning that all of this festival talk is for nothing since the band even stated its no so much a festival and blah blah blah, yada yada yada.

but to sit here all day and keep bickering is useless for everyone. people on here that have been right time after time, just trying to pass on some form of concrete knowledge is always nice to have. can i plan my date yet? no. but now i can know how far im driving and how much i might be paying for a room.

tearing people down time after time, is not what this board was meant for.

i hope to see you all in wisconsin...unless i get a stomach ache from eating too much cheese.

    peace, love and pearl jam!
    -robby

p.s. - please dont let me eat too much cheese...i REALLY want to see pearl jam

and a 30 hour 1900 mile drive for me

    or

$800 for 2 round trip tickets

sorry eyed, unlost, BD, thrilla, 81, RYE...not going...I can't afford it....$1200 just to get there and tickets, unless somebody really does want to chip in for a RV to rent and drive.

  • Thanks for the info but nothing is gonna get planned until there's confirmed dates/location from the band.

There's nothing better than paying a few grand to fly in from overseas to see Wisconsin. Or if you are lucky enough you can pay an extra $500-600 to stay in Chicago for 2 nights.

They had better put something special together for me to head to frigging Wisconsin. That venue can be a logistical nightmare.
If it is in September, we wont hear anything until May or June.

And they better come to the Northeast to collect their paychecks. ;)

Milwaukee is close to Alpine...otherwise another hub would be Chicago and then you'd have at least a good hour if not longer drive up into the Milwaukee area...If I were you...I'd just go straight into Milwaukee. But that is my opinion.
