and PJ20 is going to be shown at the Toronto film fest - not playing games but he was NOT able to confirm a performance or a PJ show on that day, just that the film will be shown there -
I can back up Neilybabes saying yes the film will be shown there according my dad... thus far
The one thing I am learning from this thread is that people need name tags at PJ20 so I know who to avoid.

I already said you may be right, but who in the PJ camp would allow you to spew this out before dates are set?
Listen, I'm not here to kiss your butt like everyone else. I'm a realist. You may be completely right or you could be wrong. Who knows. I tend to believe things that are posted in the sticky section and will when the news is there. You state plan your trip now. How exactly are we to do that? Should we book every flight, bus or train in August that leaves for Chicago? should we tell our bosses we need the whole month of August off and maybe a week in September to attend the Toronto Film Festival in hopes that Pearl Jam is there?
People with inside info dont reveal their sources. That's why they get inside info.
And if you make plans based on a message board post, it's your own fault if you get screwed over.
NB isnt telling anyone to book tickets or hotel rooms, just sharing info. not sure why it's so hard to say "thanks" and move on. 90% of the threads on this board are completely useless and should be posts to an existing thread rather than new threads, and then someone comes on here and shares info, which may be complete BS or may be true, and you piss all over them.

after labor day - sorry but I just don't want to fan flames other than saying the little I know, which Nielly led me to investigate is that PJ20 the film will be shown there - no idea if PJ will play a show or not - no idea if anyone or more than one of the band members will be there - my father works on and for their webpage and is to all department head meetings and of course he knows I live and breathe for PJ music

Now what are the odds that my parents & my friends parents will let four or five 18 & 19 year olds drive 15 hours to East Troy, WI? I am praying I'm able to make it!

1) It would and should be Alpine Valley
2) We already knew that it would be end of Summer
3) We already knew that members of the band are traveling to Big time Film Festivals promoting the film.
So honestly, what exactly have I learned from this person who may or may not have inside information other than that I still have to wait for further information to actually start booking my trip that he told me to start planning in his OP.

One of my best friends is works for the ampitheatre in Toronto doing promotions and booking and is very active in the Toronto music scene on all levels.... he is a massive PJ fan, just like most of us here, and would have told me by now if he knew anything about PJ in T.O at any of the major venues (ACC, molson amp, copps - not really toronto but still -, kool hous, sound academy, rogers center, etc....) haven't heard anything yet... I'll phone him this afternoon though....
Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.
