Yesterday was Sunday...it's the same as if you had emailed them today. Give them some time. I have also always received timely responses from them, and it is very much appreciated.

...now that we have computers, YES info is available right away all the time... but i dont really see how 10c has changed really... they still make the announcements when they will... yes a lot of announcements will be leaked elsewhere, but the people are just fucking human.

It's actually died down a lot from the weekend. I think everyone just needed to get it out of their systems.

Besides, people are just expressing their opinions, many of which I understand even if I don't agree with every single one. Something exciting will be announced soon and people will be praising 10C again..these things always happen in cycles around here.

I sent 10C this email earlier today:
On December 25th, 2010, I paid $20 for a membership renewal to extend the membership one year until January 24th, 2012. Obviously, this was the old membership plan. What does this mean for 2011? Will I get the 2011 vinyl, the hard copy of Deep, and a t-shirt?

I want the first t-shirt, but I can't seem to upgrade my membership to the $40 at this time.

    They replied:
Thanks for being on top of your renewal, although we do see the problem here. We anticipated hearing from a small number of members who have renewed early but now want to upgrade. No worries, it¹s a simple fix.

To get you sorted out for an Analog membership just reply to this email with your Visa/Mastercard number, expiration date, and 3 digit security code. The $20 difference will be charged to your card. Please be sure to also include your shirt size. (chose from Men S-XXXL or Woman S-XXL)

So, THAT is how you upgrade into the digital, if you can't do it online.

I just was wondering, does the band know about this decision? Do you guys think they had something to do with it? How much involvement do the members of Pearl Jam have with the Ten Club? I'm just curious.

I'm no consumer rights expert, but it would seem to me to be extremely dodgy business practice to retrospectively charge you more for an item purchased in good faith based on the then current goods description. As far as I can see, at the time you renewed your membership the item description specified delivery of hard copies of both Deep and the Holiday vinyl. If I were you I would not send any cc details until you have received clarification on this.
When we found the things we loved,
They were crushed and dying in the dirt.
We tried to pick up the pieces,
And get away without getting hurt,
But they caught us at the state line,
And burned our cars in one last fight,
And left us running burned and blind,
    Chasing something in the night.

I sent an e-mail to them over the weekend asking the same question...hopefully I hear back from them soon. I realize they probably have thousands of e-mails to respond to. I have no problem paying the additional $20 for the upgrade to Analog. I'm tired of all the people bitching on this thread.

This is a good point. I would suspect that if you didn't "upgrade," you get Deep and the record, but no t-shirt or download. If this is not the case, that's certainly a problem. Probably worth getting some clarification, if somebody is choosing to go that route and gets a definitive answer.
  • I think I'm too old-fashioned and will probably go analog. but it sounds so dirty. just kidding , of course.

I agree. You have been sold goods at a certain price and they have accepted your money for these goods, thus entering into a 'contract' and this should be honoured. Unless there is a caveat somewhere in the small print...

Oh... and, should you wish to pay extra for what you already purchased, don't send your credit card details in an e-mail. Not secure at all. Give the 10C a ring.

well if this is the case then we are really getting into the true value of the shirt/download... how much does 10C charge these few cases to upgrade? if they go less than $20 then they might reveal more than they care to... you know what i mean? they're literally putting a price strictly on the shirt/download not before offered
