You know, we should have asked Youngster to pick up a Patriots shirt for part of the welcome basket for Eddie. I wouldn't get him a Brady, though. Maybe a Wilfork. That would be cool. Gotta love the big man.

He would need a Giants or Yankees or Huskies one.

Absolutely. But I think a Welker #83 jersey would be more fitting since him and Eddie are close in size. I am going to the Dolphins/Pats game in January so I could pick one up then.

Better yet..... we should get a Pats jersey personalized with Vedder #23 on the back.

All right...all of you can can supply the Patriots shirts while me and Binaural will supply the Yankee and Giants jerseys. I'll throw in a UConn jersey, too.

  • Sorry to burst your bubble guys, but I highly doubt Ed is a Pats fan. I'll make sure to add some humble pie to the list of goodies we bring to the table tho...just in case.
Is anyone even sure if Ed is even in to football? I mean, we all know he's a baseball fan, but Ive never heard of any mention of him liking football, or a particular team. I mean, who would he root for? The Bears? The Seahawks? eck.

Anyways, hows about we hook him up with one of these:

vintage baby :) They released the new jerseys and logo recently...

as we are now the Connecticut Whale, but I know Ed's into the vintage shit, so we'll keep it old school

Happy Turkey Day guys....Hope some of you guys have Friday off...I'll be working...if i can manage to find a pair of pants that still fit after all the face stuffing that will be going on tomorrow

He's a Bears fan. Listen to the Soldier Field show.

Have to keep it classic and give him a Whalers shirt/jersey. Still bummed they didn't do that at the show.

I don't know if you're going to drive or take a plane, but at Bradley International Airport, they have a bunch of Whaler stuff.

Never fly unless I have too. I am more of a driver. I like to be in control of the situation. I had a friend who lived in MA but has since moved to ND. We used to get up that way a lot. I don't know how frequently we will get past NYC now. My husband wants us to spend our part of our summer section hiking the upper AT. You think anybody over in the western corner has one?

  • Newch, I listened to All Things Must Pass in its entirety today. I am overwhelmed time and again listening to that masterpiece. George was deep as shit. His reflection on his life to that point and where to go from here. If I were a rock critic for say, Rolling Stone magazine, and they asked me to write a review for George's All Things Must Pass, I'd give it twelve stars.

Masterpiece of an album. I LOVE Isn't It a Pity. A lot of that stuff was when he was deep in the Indian stuff.

Of the four debut albums by them, that album is second, closely followed by Plastic Ono Band. No one can write lyrics like Lennon did. Also, the simplicity of POB where Lennon wanted it stripped down to just guitar, bass, drums, vocals, and the piano.

You can feel the love for George in this performance and the whole concert. I still start to cry a little whenever I watch the concert because I remember the day he died and was very sad.

    Sunrise doesn't last all morning
A cloudburst doesn't last all day
Seems my love is up and has left you with no warning
It's not always going to be this grey

    All things must pass
    All things must pass away

    Sunset doesn't last all evening
A mind can blow those clouds away
After all this, my love is up and must be leaving
It's not always going to be this grey

    All things must pass
    All things must pass away
    All things must pass
None of life's strings can last
So, I must be on my way
    And face another day

Now the darkness only stays the night-time
In the morning it will fade away
Daylight is good at arriving at the right time
It's not always going to be this grey

    All things must pass
    All things must pass away
    All things must pass
    All things must pass away
