Don't know if it was mentioned before, but if you are a Dish Network subscriber there's a good chance you can get PJ radio through that as well, without having to subscribe to Sirius separately, and it sounds pretty good coming through my surround sound. It's channel 6017 on mine.
Yup, that would be channel 17 for Sirius.
Dish Network channel 6024 would be Lithium, which is a 90's alternative & grunge channel. Just take the Sirius music channel number and add 60xx to the front of it for the location of that channel on Dish Network. http://www.dishnetwork.com/downloads/Ch ... lGuide.pdf

I have XM in my Honda Accord (built in). Does anyone know how to get the full song name to scroll so I can see what venue it was played at? Right now I just get the song name and dates but I would love to know the venue.
I don't think that's possible. :(
www.tss-radio.com or twitter.com/tssradio are two great resources. They'll also answer any question you have about Sirius and XM, even if you don't want to buy a radio.
Has anyone heard more info about how long they are doing this channel? I was listening to XMU (Channel 43) this afternoon and the DJ was promoting Pearl Jam Radio but mentioned how it was for a "very limited time" to coincide with the anniversary. I'm just wondering if he has any idea what he's talking about...
I hope it's not one of the limited engagement channels. They have had ones for Led Zeppelin, Metallica and other bands as well but they have been advertised as limited engagement ones. Nothing on XM's website says that it is limited. I hope it's not. They have a E street radio, Greatful Dead, and Jimmy Buffett channel and those are all on going ones. Hope the Pearl Jam one is as well.
Everything that I have read indicates this channel is permanent. All the limited channels have always said limited during station identification times, like the zeppelin channel they did last year.
"Pearl Jam Radio joins SIRIUS XM's pioneering line-up of channels dedicated to music icons, including Bruce Springsteen's E Street Radio, the Grateful Dead Channel, Jimmy Buffett's Radio Margaritaville, Eminem's Shade 45, Elvis Radio, B.B. King's Bluesville and Siriusly Sinatra."

listening now on my television (the channel is part of my satellite TV package) and am catching some great live versions of unthought known, faithfull, others. that's the best thing about this channel -- i wouldn't normally ever get a chance to hear these versions, since i only buy boots of the shows i've been to. very cool.

I've been a Sirius subscriber since about this time in 2005.
It appears like they're adding more and more "mainstream rock" channels, and removing the "stuff you can't get elsewhere" like the latin jazz, tropical island stuff, punk, movie music, and even more obscure stuff.
Hopefully i'm wrong. They need that obscure stuff as well.

are they playing a radio edit version of supersonic/
I wondered about that!
I gotta admit: I am thrilled with their playlist so far. They are really playing stuff all over the map! Really random live tunes, old vaulted stuff, demos I never thought they would play (like "Breath And A Scream"), etc.
Well done, whoever organized this channel. I was initially, no joke, going to email the station asking if they wanted any obscure stuff. Sounds like they're all set!

Heard the same bit on XMU (Foglenest maybe?), but everything else I've seen/read has indicated it's not limited, but permanent. Hope that's the case, too. Been really really digging it so far.
Just took a look at the schedule - Bridge School 2010 Specials on Thursday and Friday evening. This is serious good news, isn't it folks?
Great stuff!
I hope somebody records this. Probably our best shot at getting near-soundboard quality of them.
I'm prepped! Don't know what the rules are, neither am I the 100% tech wizard - but can give it my best shot @320kbs. Would help to know the rules (whisper them to me)

I've got a copy of Patti Smith's last concert @ CBGB that was ripped straight from Sirius and it sounds pretty damn sweet.

Found out today that Pearl Jam Radio will not be a forever thing.
The station is called "Limited Engagements" - XM 39 and when this radio is over, another artist will take over.

I think you have incorrect info . See http://www.sirius.com/pearljamradio this is the same thing SIRIUS did when they added the grateful dead channel
i need to get a new sirius...my old sportster apparently blew a fuse or something and its not under warranty anymore.
i had it hard wired installed at best buy. does anyone know how this will work when i go to have the new one installed by them? can they use the wiring and antenna that is already in my car or will they have to take that stuff out and install all new stuff?
I can't believe they played an audience recording of Santa Barbara last night.I wanted to hear an awesome board recording. That and they started it about 50 minutes late.Shittay.

Now if they only can keep this station for more than a week! SIrius did the same thing with Led Zeppelin a few years ago. But this Pearl Jam Radio kicks ass. And I learned how to say Jeff's last name properly! A-ment!

The day we crack the vault open and a board of this show falls out, you'll hear it. And it started 10 minutes early, not 50 minutes late fyi. Just a slight bump in the road in the early going.

I don't know man... I've now heard two deejays on other channels mention that it's for a limited time just to celebrate the 20 year anniversary.
