I've found myself going faster than posted speed limits while this channel is on.

I find myself slamming on the brakes for a yellow light (which I never do) just so I can listen a little longer.

    Great station.

I'm finding the audio quality on Sirius online noticeably better than PJ Radio. There may be a number of reasons for this. Anyone else finding this?

No it's different, and aimed at a different audience - though both programmed by The Rob. PJ Radio is probably aimed at the more hardcore Pearl Jam fan, whereas Sirius is aimed at both hardcore Pearl Jam fan, and new fans, or less fanatical fans. It will also feature more 'interactive' and discursive elements, and features - more along the lines and format of a mainstream radio station - although a radio station playing only Pearl Jam! (and closely related!!) I imagine we will get some 'documentary' style programs in the future..... etc etc

For all these reasons (and the quality issue) I have been enjoying Sirius a lot more than PJ Radio. On Sirius the Robster does still dig into the crates and the vaults, and play less known or less available live cuts etc - but he has to appeal to the broader audience at the same time - a difficult task, which I believe he is succeeding at admirably!

Wish they would release the stuff they haven't released separately so I don't have to sit through what I've already heard a trillion times to fish it out.

Oh well can't always have everything!

    Kewl stuffs.

It better not be limited, besides stern theres no other reason I should pay 30 bucks a month for 2 subscriptions, This is by far the best thing sirius has ever done..

$360 a year??? I've had XM it for three years and paid no higher than $185. I even had it lowered this year to $145

I mean don't get me wrong, I certainly hope it's not limited and the thought didn't cross my mind until I heard the first deejay say it on Saturday and another one today. These were two different channels that were obviously reading a promo script because it was word-for-word the same. It starts with the phrase "In honor of Pearl Jam's 20th anniversary we are bringing you Pearl Jam radio for a limited time on XM channel..." and then again at the end they're all like "again, don't miss Pearl Jam radio on XM 39 and Sirius (whatever channel) for a limited time as we celebrate their 20th anniversary". Please know that I'm not arguing with you at all, I just find it odd that they would say that.[/quote]

I've heard the live read that the DJ's do and I never heard them mention limited time. This channel is here to stay.

Wow that's crazy. There is a known deal that if you call and threaten to cancel they will offer it to you for $77/year, which is what I've done the last two years now. Sometimes you have to call back a few times but they definitely have that option available.

WTF??? Did I miss something. I cancelled my xm radio a year ago. I reactivated it monday night for Pearl Jam channel and I log in this morning online at work and its now Neil Diamond? The schedule and channel line up says Pearl Jam until Sunday at least! I'm on hold with them now to see whats up.

I heard on XM today that Pearl Jam radio will be around for atleast the rest of the month. No word on how long it will run for after that but I wouldn't hold my breath for it being a permanent thing.
  • Was honestly going to cancel my Sirius/XM subscription this month. It's worth the money now. Might even get a dock for my desk at work.
