    I think we are really going enjoy Dez Bryant, how many games till he replaces Williams at number 2? I say 4 or less, but you never know with our coaching staff.

    the loss sucks, BIG TIME, but the D was silly good today...I would guess that McNabb wouldn't want to see us anytime soon. oh well next week is a pretty big game for the team, and i think they can do it.

    The Cowboys do not officially retire numbers. But, there is an unwritten policy. Meaning, you won't see anyone wearing 12, 8 or 22 again. Or at least any time soon.

    The thing about Barron is that he was lazy on that play. It looked to me like he set up to run block (meaning he was moving forward which allowed the defender to get around him), rather than taking a few steps back for pass protection. Once he did that, it was over.

    The sad thing is he didn't have to hold. All the had to do was push the guy for a second. Romo usually steps up and around the pass rush and that's what he did. Beautiful ruined by an idiot.

    Takeaways from this game:

    Weird shit always happens in Washington.

    Miles Austin is scary good. At one point every catch he had was for a first down. He will have a monster season.

    Romo was fine.

    The defense was in mid-season form. Held them to zero TDs and were in McNabb's face all day, but then that is nothing new.

    McNabb sucks. Washington's offense sucks.

    The Cowboys need to send flowers and get well cards to Marc Columbo.

    Why is Felix Jones on this team??? How can you have a weapon like that and only use him a couple of times. WTF???

    Worst call of the season already happened, that ridiculous play just before the half. What the hell? Seriously? You are on the road, down by three. How hard is it to just kneel??

    kolb looked horrendous but he is the starter. they gave him 12m in the offseason. he's gonna take his lumps this year. all he has to end up being is average with these weapons though. my main concern is that reid will ruin his growth by continuing to trot vick out there. it disrupts his rhythm. he also has to learn to handle pressure and get rid of the ball when he's in trouble. we have the best backup in the league though if he goes down for an extended period of time.

    Agree with you about Barron, his form was non existant on that play. Cut him immediately. We spent the past decade putting up with the most penalized lineman in the league, we don't need #2 now.

    Penalties are still killing us.........lost momentum on a handful of drives just due to sloppy play (aka Bennet's block in the back)

    After having processed this for a half day this is all I got. I really think teams are content to let the Cowboys move up and down the field on them, and just wait for Garrett to do something stupid (3 smoke screens in a row after we were moving the ball), or one of the players to committ a penalty (Witten was a hidden genius at this last year, but it was Bennett, Bryant, and Mr. Barron yesterday), and then miss a FG. Phillips is a genius D Coordinator, his players will go to war for him, but jesus fucking christ win already. Sorry that is all. Hopefully we win next week, and get some confidence moving forward.
