i'll say it now, because i know this is going to turn into a bitchfest.

i'm really happy with the way it ended. the answers that we didn't get don't really matter, because the way they chose to end it. such is life. that's how life really is.

i loved it. i liked the journey, and all the side trips. and i like our final destination.

best tv show ever. imho. the X-Files was what i thought was the best until now. this did its job.

    i'll miss this show.
    Peace, Love.

Little confusing towards the end. Still not quite sure what to make of the ending. Some heart wrenching scenes though. Kinda ended the way it always ends, with everyone scratching their heads. Good to see old faces return though.

I completely agree. I had figured out a while back the 'reality' of the Lostie's situation. I don't see any other way that they could have ended it.

Oh god I'm so tired, it's 6 in the morning here in germany... Loved the finale. At the moment nothing makes sense but there were some great moments in it and I think we just have a lot to discuss now. I think everybody will interpret it a little different.
    But that's Lost :D

I thought it was good, but ended how I would have probably ended it if I had to write it. I was kind of hoping to be more surprised, but it met my expectations.

Not everyone will be satisfied no matter how they would have ended it.

Without giving anything away, is anyone else as confused as me as to who really died, and when they died? Or which time the died was the real death?

at first I thought it was something really dumb like they were actually all dead the whole time they were on the island. but the way Christian explained it, the church was just a place for them to meet; not everyone died at the same time, some died before Jack, some died after him. It made sense to me once I saw that Penny was there, as she was never a Lostie per say.

but I don't understand the alternate timeline. was that just the place of limbo that you go when you die? why did Locke say that Jack didn't really have a son?

    DISCLAIMER.. don't read below. SPOILER..

So Penny was never really looking for Desmond? Desmond died when his boat crashed there? He made up that part, but they eventually both meet again in the after life? Or she did die and did look for him in the after life because there is no "now"..

I get that there is no "now", but what about the darma initiative? Was that made up too? Or how did those people die? And Ben? did he die at birth?

Why didn't Ben go in the church? Is Ben protector of the island now?

If people brought to the island are dead, how did Juliet die???

    Hidden for Spoilers:
Some deaths we saw on the show - such as Boone, Shannon, Charlie, Daniel, Michael, Sun and Jin, etc... the ones we didn't see happened later (post Jack). The sideways time line had no "time", it was a gathering place to meet with the other Losties, face their deaths, and move on. Kind of like a purgatory.

the nuke, that couldn't kill them? I think they all died when the plane crashed.. I'm not sure anyone on the island was ever really alive.

That is just what my cousin and I were thinking on our way home from our aunt and uncle's. You said it perfectly.
Spoiler: With Ben, I don't think he wanted to go in for all the bad stuff he had done. That's what we thought.

If they're all dead, I would think nobody on the island was ever really alive. It would make sense they all died when the plane crashed. For instance, Lock walking in the first episode. He'd have to be dead to walk.. and Jack laid down to die in the end where he really died in the begining.. he finished unfinished business in purgatory..
