burnett quickly off to a 3-0 start.

the story of the season has to be our 1-4 starters. they really have been lights out. couldnt ask much more from them. excited to watch pettitte again tonight. guy is pitching like he is 23.

    you mean 1-3 & 5?

Cause I don't think Vazquez has been lights out.

yeah, that's what i meant. i'm already in the mentality that girardi bumped hughes to #4 (which he should do after another rocky start by vazquez).

i post on the board of a band that doesn't exsist anymore .......i need my head examined.......
  • I just saw on MLB Net that Austin jackson (The key component of the Granderson deal) is leading all of baseball in both hits and strikeouts. That sounds impossible. I think Granderson will get it together, but it may be time to start sitting him against lefties. gardner has been very good against lefties, had a great at bat against Thornton tonight. I don't want to see Thames in the outfield again anytime soon, but with the way he hits lefties, and with Nick Johnson doing very little (except walking) it might be time for a change, until Granderson gets going

His BABIP was .492(!!) coming into tonight. And he went 5 for 5 tonight. While speed guys tend to have much better BABIPs, there is no way he can sustain this.

Bet you wish I drafted the whole damn team now ... eh?

(cue the way back machine to late March .... )

Major whammy forthcoming for the pinstripers ... I rostered both Jeter and Cano in my hometown roto league this past weekend.

I normally shy away from getting two guys on the same team with early round draft picks, but both were just far too much of a bargain to pass up ... couple that with the fact I took Utley in the first round, I have one of the most unliked, yet formidable middle infields in my Massachusetts based league.

Something is bound to happen to one of Jeter and Cano now ... I know it. The last time I had Jeter on my team was the year he disloacted his shoulder in Toronto.

oh, and I have Austin Jackson too ...
