I'm excited to watch Robinson Cano this year. I hope this is the year he takes a big step forward.
It appears Tex will be okay.

especially hitting in the 5 hole. This is his time, he is no longer a kid and is getting paid this year.

Major whammy forthcoming for the pinstripers ... I rostered both Jeter and Cano in my hometown roto league this past weekend.

I normally shy away from getting two guys on the same team with early round draft picks, but both were just far too much of a bargain to pass up ... couple that with the fact I took Utley in the first round, I have one of the most unliked, yet formidable middle infields in my Massachusetts based league.

Something is bound to happen to one of Jeter and Cano now ... I know it. The last time I had Jeter on my team was the year he disloacted his shoulder in Toronto.

Interesting, could have held him out one more week to save innings, guess they dont want to let him get rusty.

Means AJ will be pitchign the first game I go to that Saturday.

Anyone see the Sunday night baseball promo on ESPN for the Yanks/Sox game? A couple of guys singing along to Sweet Caroline and they cut to Swisher and responds "Not a Chance". Good one.
If there were no Angels would there be no sin?

I can't believe it's here! Seems like yesterday I was at game1 of ws (wasn't a fun night) then in Philly for the fun that was the spectrum and ws. Javier Vasquez adds alot of depth to the rotation. Especially since MLB made it harder for the yanks to shorten their rotation in the postseason by cutting out a few days off.
