  • it's more annoying when the crowd at met games randomly belts it out. I've also found it dumb when the Yankees would play the Braves and the Met fans would not realize the Yankees could help them out by beating the Braves.

This is the way it should have been all along

    Phil... Starter
    Joba... Relief

Phil has a more weapons to finish a game

joba.... Fastball(more velocity in bullpen) and that nasty slider is well suited in this role

That was one of the most exciting games I've ever seen. Two future Hall of Famers like that deciding a game in that matter. The rest of that series were blowouts, so that was the one I was glad to be able to attend.

    Here's today's lineup:

    Derek Jeter SS

    Mark Teixeira DH
    Alex Rodriguez 3B

Fucking fantastic performance. Hughes has had no hitters broken up in the 2 most annoying fucking ways possible.

Jimed, I had the A's broadcast last night (figures I get the A's when Kay is at home) too and thought that was hilarious.

I don't know why he thought it went up though. I thought he saw it bounce off his forearm. Rather him lose it this way than the 2007 way.

I was a big fan of this comment:

“He just told me to get off his mound,” Rodriguez said. “I was a little surprised. I’d never quite heard that. Especially from a guy that has a handful of wins in his career.”

I saw whatever his name screaming at someone and none of the announcers could figure out what was going on. It was pretty amusing. What a clown, quit crying.

and this whole thing with crossing the mound...braden said it's an unwritten rule. i've never heard of that before. i'm not claiming to know every single thin about baseball, but this is the first time i've ever heard a pitcher say anything about someone crossing the mound.

Unfortunate they could not get the W, but they still won the series and that is all they need to keep doing.
