it's always tough playing the angels on the west coast. hopefully they can take 2 games to extend that "won series" streak.

That they are and yes, another series win would be outstanding.

Wow Jeter chimed in on the Braden thing

"It ain't like he brought it from home."

Don't think Jeter would have backed Alex on this a couple years ago. Good to see.

Um, this game might get interesting. If anyone on the team is going to do something, I would imagine its AJ.

This is really interesting and somewhat suprising.

    http://itsaboutthemoney.net/archives/20 ... ot-really/

Basically of the top 8 teams in terms of revenue, the Yankees spend the smallest percentage of revenue on payroll. If they were to spend at the same percentage as the Tigers, they would be able to add $100 million to the payroll. That is really scary.

I don't know who is having a worse year, Javier Vazquez or Melky Cabrera .... talk about the anti-"change of scenery" deal ... yikes.

Ah well, frustrating series but they were going to lose a series at some point, makes sense it is against the Angels, I will take .500 on a trip west. On to the White House then hopefully beat up on the awful O's

it's mental with this guy, his personality isn't suited for NYC

He's mature enough in age and experience wise.... He'll settle down I hope, but won't sniff a playoff start.... Especially since our other 4 starters have been and I think will be horses for the year. He's fuckin himself in his free agent year

It looks like his release point is way too high, like he's releasing it from eye level. At least that's what I saw on the highlights. I don't know if it was like that the whole game. The key for many pitchers is repeating the same mechanics, delivery, arm angle etc and it hasn't looked like it's kicked in yet. That being said, I still think he will be somewhat decent, maybe how Burnett was last year with one real dominant stretch.

Interesting stuff in the post today from Sherman about the Yanks and Torre, man, I knew it was bad but didn't realize just how bad it was.

But it is after Torre leaves the field that I think it gets particularly sad with the Yankees. I do not use this term lightly, but both sides in this dispute – Torre and the Yankees – hate each other.

He thinks it will take Jeter or Mo after they retire to bring them back together. Stinks, wish they would both just bury the hatchet.

A bunch of millionaires cryin over spilt milk, bah

Joe doesn't owe the Yankee organization shit and vice Versa. It's been alot worse with Billy and even the guy who woulda won had he stuck around, Buck. Joe was great for the community here and is a likeable guy. He knows what he got into with George and at the end it wasn't pretty. If the Dodgers didn't get their asses kicked by the Phils the last 2 years he wouldn't dwell on this

    this story is old

I really hope the Yankees aren't about to start slumping. Tampa Bay isn't slowing down and Boston is picking up the pace.

The good news is that the big guy is on the mound tonight to stop the bleeding. Every team is going to slump, Tampa is not going to run away with the division in April.
