The theatre is really small. Theatre fits 200 to 300 people. If you get a ticket on Saturday morning around 7 a.m. for either the dress rehearsal or the live show it does not guarantee you will get in. However recommended that you go to the dress rehearsal because some skits might not make it to the live broadcast. My experience from camping out doing SNL once and from others that I know that have done it is you have a better shot getting in if the weather is bad. Dress Rehearsal there are more slots open than the live broadcast. Like there could be 10 people to 28 that could get into the dress rehearsal and 1 to 6 people in the live show. Usually thats a good number getting in when the weather is bad. I highly recommend watching it at home than being there in person. There are SNL regulars 2 that have been to every show since it started with Steve Martin and a few that have gone to almost every SNL show regardless who is the musical guest. They know when there are big shows for SNL and which one's there won't be a big crowd to start the line. BTW they sometimes cut the line bringing their friends along and those in back of them watch them carefully during the middle of the night or right before they start giving out tickets.

Hopefully they'll partake in a skit,

and lets hope we get 3 songs as opposed to only 2 .

I hope so, that would be awesome ;)

What do you think they will play? I would say a safe bet would be The Fixer and Just Breathe.

False alarm... I dug further on this, got to the source and was told the bands 'usually' rehearse on Wednesday... no sign of PJ yet...

Correct. However, bands can (and do) rehearse in rehearsal studios prior to Wednesday when playing SNL.

New songs, definitely (putting it all out there on this guess).

then again, i'd love to see them do 'last train to clarksville' and the hall & oats classic, 'maneater'

Oh man...I can just hear the baritone making it's way through 'Maneater'...*swooons*

It'll be sweet whatever they decide to play. I could see Just Breathe because it's a single after all, but it'd be weird to do one song full band and another just Ed. Ooooh...maybe they'll do three like U2. Anyways, I'm kinda hoping they do songs that aren't singles.
