yeah but there is no talk of this over at BRY which is usually full of this type of shenanighans, and I presumed they were referencing just the amazon clips that had been taken before being removed0 -

I dunno, the spontaneity of a leak is pretty exciting though, you never know when it's gonna happen. I was let down plenty of times in the past when I waited, bought the record on the day, and was then left with the 'what the fuck is this?' feeling. Listening to the amazon clips has only made me more excited!
fair do's i was sent a cd of riot act before it arrived in stores, and swore blind i would never do it again,
I was so underwhelmed by it despite the major hype that surrounded it. Obviosuly waiting for the record wouldnt have helped that at all, but i think the CDR added to my overall disappointment, and certainly ruined the excitement of having the original when it came out.
its since grown on me a great deal, and I now own about 10 copies of it, but it sure did put me off for life
I downloaded Riot Act when it leaked, burned it onto a CD and listened to it and loved it! When I bought the album I played the hell out of it again. I still like the album a great deal. That taught me that I should always download the leak :roll:2003: San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, Seattle; 2005: Monterrey; 2006: Chicago 1 & 2, Grand Rapids, Cleveland, Detroit; 2008: West Palm Beach, Tampa; 2009: Austin, LA 3 & 4, San Diego; 2010: Kansas City, St. Louis, Columbus, Indianapolis; 2011: PJ20 1 & 2; 2012: Missoula; 2013: Dallas, Oklahoma City, Seattle; 2014: Tulsa; 2016: Columbia, New York City 1 & 2; 2018: London, Seattle 1 & 2; 2021: Ohana; 2022: Oklahoma City0 -
I've been checking diditleak everyday. They are usually up to date on these things.
I've already pre-ordered the album through the 10c, and will buy it at Target as well, but would love to get my hands on this asap!0 -

How about you all respect the bands wishes and just wait? Where does your sense of entitlement come from?0

I'm saying I've shelved out close to $40 for this album already. When the Target version is available, I will be buying that one as well. So, as far as "stealing" from the band or "going against their wishes", I think your energy is better spent aiming that at people who won't be buying the album at all and will download it for free. Good luck finding any of those people here.0

Didn't Solar say he/she was done with this subject yesterday? :?2003: San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, Seattle; 2005: Monterrey; 2006: Chicago 1 & 2, Grand Rapids, Cleveland, Detroit; 2008: West Palm Beach, Tampa; 2009: Austin, LA 3 & 4, San Diego; 2010: Kansas City, St. Louis, Columbus, Indianapolis; 2011: PJ20 1 & 2; 2012: Missoula; 2013: Dallas, Oklahoma City, Seattle; 2014: Tulsa; 2016: Columbia, New York City 1 & 2; 2018: London, Seattle 1 & 2; 2021: Ohana; 2022: Oklahoma City0 -
Just so we're clear. No one should come here and post links to a leak.0

Actually, at this point I'm not sure I would download a possible leak. We're only about 2 weeks away and that time will fly by! I might as well wait for the whole package. Plus, I've already heard almost half the album in one form or other so that should tide me over.2003: San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, Seattle; 2005: Monterrey; 2006: Chicago 1 & 2, Grand Rapids, Cleveland, Detroit; 2008: West Palm Beach, Tampa; 2009: Austin, LA 3 & 4, San Diego; 2010: Kansas City, St. Louis, Columbus, Indianapolis; 2011: PJ20 1 & 2; 2012: Missoula; 2013: Dallas, Oklahoma City, Seattle; 2014: Tulsa; 2016: Columbia, New York City 1 & 2; 2018: London, Seattle 1 & 2; 2021: Ohana; 2022: Oklahoma City0

I'm glad it hasn't leaked yet. And, if it does, at this point I can definitely hold out. I listened to the amazon samplers a few times and that was enough. A few more weeks is no big deal. I've just dived into bootlegs in the meantime. How great was their sound in 2000?
On a related note, I'm really surprised at the lack of publicity for the new album. Only a few interviews so far, not much press. Have they been advertising on any websites? Seems really strange that they'd be putting out a poppier album and not doing much to publicize it. I barely hear The Fixer on NYC radio. I think 101.9 WRXP is the only station that plays it around here and its not getting much airplay.0 -

Give yourself a pat on the back for buying it.
The fact you seem to think that this means you should hear it early or its ok to do so it plain old nonsense and you know it. Otherwise they might as well have made it available digitally at the time of order once the payment was processed. The fact they didnt clearly suggests they would hope you would have the decency to wait for release day.
Its apparent we are not gonna agree on this, and if this was discussed yesterday ...thats great....we're discussing it again.
And if you are so disillusioned as to the purity of this board then thats another thing.0
