I usually have no trouble with hints like this but not this time.

    Are we talking FoN?

Amazon.co.uk put up clips of the whole album about a week ago - where have you been?! They took them down, but not before people had ripped them.

Damned right. I already feel like I've heard too much of the album with The Fixer and Got Some out there, Just Breathe on the Clinch video and having seen The End and Supersonic live.

Whatever happened to buying an album on release day, taking it home and listening to it full of apprehension and excitement? The ritual as you lay down the crooked arm and all that. Do you really wanna hear most of the album in bits and pieces before you've got that hard copy with the artwork and everything in your hands?
we're all going to the same place...

I would quite happily listen to the whole album minus the artwork - I think the internet killed that ritual for me years ago.

precisely where I'm coming from too...

I heard the end, supersonic, got some and the fixer on tour. Caught some just breathe on the backspacer video...leaves 6 more tracks I do not know yet. 6 tracks. I am pretty sure I can wait for them...

I'm al;ready dreading knowing this record like the back of my hand and then waiting three years for the next with more trepid anticipation.

Thats really sad, and one of the reason I have avoided downloading and fucking itunes like the plague. I love getting my hands on the official item and the liner notes etc. Downloading loses half the experience for me.

I dunno, the spontaneity of a leak is pretty exciting though, you never know when it's gonna happen. I was let down plenty of times in the past when I waited, bought the record on the day, and was then left with the 'what the fuck is this?' feeling. Listening to the amazon clips has only made me more excited!

fair do's i was sent a cd of riot act before it arrived in stores, and swore blind i would never do it again,

I was so underwhelmed by it despite the major hype that surrounded it. Obviosuly waiting for the record wouldnt have helped that at all, but i think the CDR added to my overall disappointment, and certainly ruined the excitement of having the original when it came out.

its since grown on me a great deal, and I now own about 10 copies of it, but it sure did put me off for life

good point jenny, but people will be referencing its out there so people know to go find it....I think thats what is hoped for.

for me, no chance, I'm not slightly interested.

No. Not all mine, but I have a good chunk of that stuff. The PJC site is a site that showcases what we believe is the most comprehensive database of all official PJ items ever released. There are about 15 collectors who contribute.

The forums are cool there, some great people to talk to.

I find listening to an album leak just as exciting. Theres the excitement of finding it, especially if its not leaked to the most obvious places. The fact that you arent meant to be listening to it, and the fact that you are listening to it before 95% of the other people who are going to hear the album at some point.

Weve seen the album art. Liner notes are great, but i dont like to read the words as I'm listening, id rather figure them out for myself, sometimes getting them wrong, (ed makes that easy to do :D). I would probably wait IF i knew vinyl was going to arrive ontime. but seeing as I live in australia, it wont. so no way am i waiting.

    vinyl > leak
    leak > CD :D
    ...The Moon is Rollin' Round....
  • could someone PM me to the mens room cause i'd like to take a leak myself!! ;)
