  • Am i the only pj fan who feels let down by the lottery that was with the super delux???
We as fans are totally in the dark with how many boxsets were signed, but i am sure that ten club
sold a hell of a lot more due to the fact they were offering this lottery.
I got mine of Friday, was held to ransom by UPS and no signed copy.
I wish they had made 2500 signed copies available to the fans, i have spent the last few months in total hope of getting a signed copy.
    Not fair.....
I can understand your disappointment, but if the only reason you bought the super deluxe version was to get some autographs then you shouldn't have bought it.

Ten Club can't win. If they didn't announce the chance for autographs, then people who bought the set elsewhere would have felt betrayed ('if I would have known, I would have bought it through Ten Club."). They announce the "chance" and some people view it as a simple, unscrupulous ploy to drive sales.

I didnt read the thread, but I wish they did what NIN just did for their fans. They released a $300 set.. but 2500 were signed by Trent. If one guy can do it, im sure the band could have.

I mean of course you are paying a lot more.. but still cool. And I don't even like NIN but the article in Billboard along with a HUGE pic of the SDE made me think wow.. thats really nice.

Signature or not, I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS TO ARRIVE MONDAY!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, not a big deal to me. Their autograph wouldn't have changed the way the music sounds.

i for one think all 10c should have had them signed as we brought it from 10c as we could have brought it alot cheaper elsewhere and now with the customs charge what a bastard!

That isn't what he was saying at all. The guy knew it had records, he just let the over excitement of the SDE persuade him to buy it. Then he had some buyer's remorse, just as the topic of his thread says.

That guy has honestly gotten too much flack for basically thinkin out loud.
  • The OP has a point, I like this set but for nobody to have received an autographed copy yet is a load of shit, I know I didn't hesitate to drop $140 for this set because of the autograph possibility. If I had known then what I know now I probably wouldn't have bought the expensive edition I would have gone for the LP's. If Trent Reznor can sign 2500 copies of Ghosts I-IV there's no reason these guys can't sign more than 30-40 sets, what a joke...

The Decemberists just signed 1000 copies of their new album and you didn't have to pay extra for it.

It's some lazy ass shit just to sign about 40 copies, what a joke this band is becoming....

and the Xmas single? where the fuck is that? and what about Deep, we're supposed to get 2 of those per year but lucky to get one? Lame fucking Lame

fuck Pearl Jam they suck ass anymore anyway :D:lol:

Ha sarcastic or not that was a LITTLE extreme. However, I do agree with your first point, in a sense. When purchasing membership (which is now $25/yr, not SUPER cheap) it is advertised that you WILL receive 2 newsletters and an xmas single. Both of these items seem to be very hard to come by. We did receive just one deep, and it is almost april with now "xmas" single.

  • Actually I'm thinking it's a good thing that no-one has received an autographed copy yet, it makes me think that we'll all be getting an "addendum" later if we pre-ordered the deluxe set. I can see them needing some time to sign about 2000-3000 items that they'll later ship out to all of us.

  • I didn't buy a SDE, but I do think it's pretty disappointing that no one on this board has recieved a signed one yet. If they did delay the signed ones, that's also too bad... it would have been more fun and less drama if someone had one on the first day.

But to buy it EXPECTING a signed one is just foolish.

  • Iv'e been a fan foe almost as long as they've been a band, collected stuff, but never sought anything signed, ed doesnt like to do it and the rest are nice about it but its hardly their favorite thing, if they have a second with you I'm sure they would rather talk about thre music, the town, your family, so much! In a early interview ed said dont focus on us, its the music. Focus on the music we love to hear on every bootleg, and sing at every concert, thats where the joy is, not a signature from some guys trying to keep us happy. The thing they give us with joy, the music, take the gift, savor it

Maybe it's the people who can't post here anymore that have received signed copies. **goes to 'alternative' board to check if there is anything there**

    Yes.

This board is absolutely full of ungrateful people at the minute. We just got an incredibly luxurious, tailored-for-fans set released and people then complain about it. The ammount of time that must have gone into it, and this is what people have to say on its release?

Shame. But then, it is a minority, just a loud one.

you got it ALL WRONG.......ITS JSUT ONE PERSON NOT ALL OF US......the "poster" is the one bitching and un gratefull

Oh it's more than just one person. ;)

    Seriously, do the Autographs matter?

They don't make your CD's and Records sound better.

They don't get you front row at the next PJ show.

They don't do your laundry and make your bed for you.

Are you guys gonna go home and touch the signatures everyday and stare at them? (Actually there are several here that would, and that is freaky)

Here's my personal take on this. I want this set either which way. If there were no signed copies, I still would have preordered it here. However, I have nothing signed by the band (individual or collectively). I know that a signature is just a signature, but who knows if I will ever have the opportunity to meet any of the guys in person. If my set were signed, it would be cool to at least know that they held it in their hands and left their mark. Not quite as cool as in person, but still very cool none the less .
    Its good to be back!!

I'm gonna save my money for the tour from now on, not because I'm pissed it wasn't signed but I can grabbed this stuff online later anyways.

$140???? I have a feeling I'm gonna kick myself for this purchase.

Just got mine today!! I was so excited I wasn't even thinking about any signitures. Never cared about autographs anyway. It's not like I'd ever sell it or anything if it was signed. I'm just sitting back and reliving an awesome part of music history. Thank you Pearl Jam for the many years of incredible music.
