I buy my stuff through 10C because I like buying it through 10C.

The fact that it was right before Xmas didn’t really matter to me, I had the money available, now if I had to take money from my kid’s Xmas presents to buy it then I wouldn’t have bought it, they gave the date when the pre-sale would end and there was a note on the site that said there would be plenty of sets to fulfill everyone’s orders, there was no need to buy it the first day if money was tight because of Xmas.

Like I said I would buy it through 10C if I had to do it all over again, and I don’t think it sucks that I didn’t get a signed copy I never expected one, and I don’t consider myself full of shit.

well said....never cared if was signed or not....i guess that means i'm full of shit

i swear people's priorities are way out of whack

    priorities way out of wack???

so explain why the busiest thread on this forum is the signed copy thread???
releasing this set signed has been the biggest deal for a collector pj have done since benoraya..
delusional?? ha ha, i was held to ransom by ups for my box, and have recently bought hoodies, boxsets, bootlegs etc etc all from ten club.
the reason i may be delusional is because nobody has any idea how many were signed
i support ten club but have recently paid £60.00 in extra postal fees, on top of the normal price.
if i had known, and not for the signed lottery, i would have bought it from my local store and supported them
i bought it first for the music and second for a collectors piece, end of story

I was under the impression that ALL of the preorders before the end of Jan got some type of autograoh. Kinda sucks, but its just someones name on paper. The music is great. I cant beliee this set. It is awesome.
  • I think there is one point that everyone seems to be forgetting. The Message Pit consists of probably 1% of Ten Club Members.

I know many fan clubbers that have either never heard of this place, or don't like to sit in front of a PC and post on a message board all night. I know I wouldn't be posting here if I didn't have a job that allowed it.

How many regular posters do we have here? 300 - 400 at the most?

    DING DING DING DING!!!!
  • Am i the only pj fan who feels let down by the lottery that was with the super delux???
We as fans are totally in the dark with how many boxsets were signed, but i am sure that ten club
sold a hell of a lot more due to the fact they were offering this lottery.
I got mine of Friday, was held to ransom by UPS and no signed copy.
I wish they had made 2500 signed copies available to the fans, i have spent the last few months in total hope of getting a signed copy.
    Not fair.....

    Really? . . . . WAH.

I agree...I bought the set that very day on the spot...because of the hopes of getting a signed copy. oh well it's still cool...but a signed set would of made my year!
  • they've probably cancelled or delayed the autographs because everyone around here seems to get their nose outta joint over PJ stuff getting sold on eBay..
people need to stop worrying about who sells what and for how much on eBay..

Depends on how you look at it. I am a collector, and buying it with the hopes of getting a signature never came in to play. Did I know there was a possiblity? Sure...Would it have made it any more special to me getting one? Prob not....Seeing it signed in person, or having it made out TO ME, would make it special, otherwise I was going to buy a couple regardless.

Hell, for all you know, SLH or Tim B or someone else at the 10C could have been the ones signing for the band!! Happens all the time.... I dont think they would do something like that, but to put it in perspective, as someone else mentioned, we are a VERY SMALL MINUTE part of the fanclub that come here. So if you bought it for the possibility/hope of a sig, then yes, you are a bit dillusional...;-)

My friend was going to see Eddie last night. Since he was in Vegas, I gave him 5 Grand to gamble with. I told him I wanted it all to go on Black. Bastard! PhillyCrownOfThorns-11-2-12
  • I'll be honest I was a little bummed that my copy wasn't signed, but once I found out you could download Drop in the Park as an mp3 and I wouldn't have to record it off my record player I was happier then I ever could have been. Point is you forget about not getting it faster then you think.

i don't think it sucks that mine wasn't signed. i didn't order the thing for signatures. its the coolest pearl jam thing i own hands down and i feel like 10C put together something special and unique for the fans. if you can't see that in any way, even just a little bit, then you are missing the point mister.

I can't for the life of me understand why people would get so worked up over an autograph they weren't there for. I thought the whole point of an autograph was to prove you have met someone. If I got an autographed one, it would be kinda cool I guess (Wow, the guys held my box set for a couple of seconds, that's kinda neat). But this is pretty damned goofy. It would be like wanting a picture of Eddie with some random other guy, and buying it as a substitute for having your picture taken with Eddie. Doesn't make any sense to me. Oh well.

I got my copy on Monday. It is great - I was really impressed with what a fantastic job they did. I will say I was a bit bummed for a minute or two that it wasn't signed but still glad I bought it. I'm sure we are only a % of Ten Club members, but it does seem a little odd that not a single person out of all these responses received a signed copy. Hope to hear that some did get signed ones. Will make me feel better that the whole signature thing was a ploy to boost sales. Not that they would have needed it. Hate to think that way, but that's life. In any event, just get your set and look, read, listen, ENJOY!! :P

the last thing i have missed is the point, like i said i would have bought the box signed or not
i was opening a discussion about how the autographed copy was handled, on various threads and this one, people have agreed with some of my points, ok i may have not worded it the best way, i admit the op sounds a bit lame
i didnt think so many people would get on their soapbox..
yea i hoped for a signed copy, if that is delusional then whatever

Has a single person gotten a signed copy yet? I haven't seen a post about that. If so please correct me. Im not ungrateful but I do feel a little strange about the fact we were told a bunch would be signed and now it seems like maybe none to very few were.

I'm not going to comment on the signature thing, because I didn't buy it from 10C-bought it from Best Buy because I waited until past the presale.

I will say that this is something special for us as fans. The $133 I spent at Best Buy (sales tax) was well worth it. Jeff and Ed put a lot of time and effort in this; the notebook, the backstage pass, faux ticket, and the Mookie card (made me laught). Even the two posters were a nice touch. Everything was well thought out. Well done.
