Don't necessaryily like that Luca was sent down to the minors but I'd rather he play consistent minutes than be a healthy scratch most nights. I think there will be a move shortly, as soon as Briere is healthy enough to play and has a few rehab games with the Phantoms. I can see Metro or maybe Alberts moving but Alberts has been somewhat effective clearing out around the net and along the boards.

That was my feeling on Sbisa...rather him play there then sit here

These penalties they're taking are ridiculous ! We need discipline and better TEAM defense

Curious to see if they're up for the game tonight

  • They're playing pretty well while down a few players

This time of year we better beat the teams we're supposed to

It's never easy not even against Atlanta who we own

Seems like Richards is a go for Thurs and Upshall is pretty probable. Also nice to hear Briere is getting closer to coming back.

Same thing last year with Biron being shaky mid season and Nitty holding down the fort, then Biron playing well down the stretch and thru the playoffs. I think sometimes Biron just loses focus both in games and during the season.

I thought that was Eager too, but something referred to him as an ex-Eagle.

I gotta ask, boys: Does the porn star there really do it for you? I mean, I get the one with Upshall on the island. But that other woman just looks like, well, a girl who does a lot of porn.

Horrible.... looked a bit listless at times out there and everytime Nitty has a chance to show he can be #1, he falls on his face. Let's hope the bike riding after the game will spark the boys into a nice showing this weekend.

Nice bounce back this weekend !!

10 goals in 2 games and Carter didn't have any...nice depth

I saw during the game Richards is the first player to have 3 SH 5 on 3 goals

    Impressive

The boys looked nice this weekend but we also have to look at the opponents. They put two teams away that they should. Let's hope Marty is regaining his form from late last season and that the penalties stay at a minimum. I like the way this team is shaping up and with Briere coming back soon it looks like a nice playoff run could be in the cards.... It's also nice seeing the Pens sputter around this season

They hardly had to work for that second win, no thanks to the ineptness and lack of work ethic demonstrated by the Rangers. I knew what was coming on that first goal when Lundqvist had to scramble to cover the net and there were five blueshirts standing there watching.

I am in agreement with you on enjoying the Penguins sputter, especially since the networks and league bow down to Sidney Crosby. That being said, it's not the coaches fault, it's the general manager's fault that Crosby's linemates are immortals such as Tyler Kennedy and Pascal Dupuis..

If the Flyers make any moves it will be to dump salary not add salary... and I don't see a major move or need in this teams future.

He's a free agent I believe in the off season

If we play better team defense we can get by with Biron I think

As long as Biron plays the way he did down the stretch last year and in the playoffs. This is a better defense in front of him, but we still turn the puck over too much and don't clear the zone as well as we should (also a fault of the forwards). If they can make the simple plays, and play their game, this team can make a nice run in the playoffs.

That's what kills this team !

Just like yesterday...I know Biron was at fault for the 5th goal but the D in the zone is weak

I keep reading on other message boards try and get Backstrom..but they're a defense first team (MIN) and this team certainly is not so he will get hung out to dry like Biron

In a way I can't blame Biron for that goal last night... he had to get up and try to get rid of the puck. Someone should have been standing there either telling him to stay down on it and take the penalty or to just leave the puck there and skate away. Instead, Biron trys to flip the puck out of the zone from his glove and the puck basically stays in the glove... and how does Crosby get to the puck before Carle??? how???

I like Richards response after the game and hopefully they learn from it... "usually we find a way to win these type of games, but that 2nd period really cost us tonite"
