    you have to be jazzed at how good Beckett looked tonight ... wow.

    I only caught the last 3-4 innings ... but wow, he looked great.

    let's hope Dice K can follow up with something similar.

    I just remembered something in that opening day game the Sox played the PHILLIES. They were a bunch of older guys behind me from Philly and we talked smack during the game. Man we had fun, even my girlfriend flirted with them.. :)

    Honestly, this is my favorite time of the year. I love post season baseball and I especially love when the Sox are doing well.

    The one time rooting for the Yanks and it didn't happen. They were exposed for their lack of pitching in the end. Man, did A-Rod stink again in the playoffs...if the Red Sox have a chance to sign him should they???

    No, A Rod would be horrible fit in Boston. I would rather keep Lowell because he fits in better with the team than I think A Rod ever could. Don't get me wrong A Rod is the best player in baseball, but having the best player never guarantees you a title - e.g. Barroid Bonds in the 90s.

    I agree totally besides his salary would throw any other quality signings out of whack. Pitching and defense wins in short series and the further you go the more important it becomes.

    One more thing he's too pretty to play in Boston, let him stay in NY with all the models. :) Let's go Sox/Pats/Bruins.....Celtics down the road
