    whether or not it's a homerun, and I honestly couldn't tell because I only watched one replay....why would they set the field up like that? Shouldn't there be a fence, with no landing there, so if the ball clears the fence, it lands in the seats, or on a patch of grass, ala the Rangers stadium?

    it seems like an easy fix, to make all fields dummy proof when it comes to home runs ... doesn't it?

    Nothing really. Lofton dropped his bat on 3-0 on a pitch down the pipe and headed to first. Ump called strike 1. Beckett didn't like Lofton dropping the bat on an obvious strike. Next pitch Lofton pops out to Left and Beckett screams something at Lofton after Lofton hits the ball. So Lofton runs out the fly and says something back to Beckett as he was close to the mound. The benches empties, but nothing happened.
