Since I know Bathgate might need some translation:

Haha, nice one Bathgate. The kid is still hung over from last night's win (8-2). I just heard on Sportscenter, John Sterling's new call - It's another A-bomb from A-Rod. I crack up every time he does it. By the way, the all-star voting ends in less than two weeks - keep Jeter and AROD on top of the voting.

So I guess the Yanks successes/failures can not be attributed to by the performance of their trainer. I still feel bad for that guy because none of those injuries were his fault, and the team sucked worse once he left. (and yes i'm a yanks fan)
I love to turn you on

anyone catch the trailer for the mini series upcoming on espn , and the LATE 70s NYY team ( including a young and robust george steinbrenner , billy martin, reggie , the 3 homers , back in the old days the fans pouring over on top of the field at yankee stadium after winning the shabbang , all that stuff. )

looks pretty good,...but very long---- i think its being aired over a month or two .

it's based on the book - Ladies and Gentlemen, the Bronx is Burning". That's a very good book by the way. I think it's being aired six consecutive Sundays starting July 8.

by the way bathgate, if you want a laugh or cry about the yankees in the 1980s, you should read the booked "Damned Yankees" by Bill Madden and Moss Klein.

    Yankees Sign Chinese Pair

NEW YORK (AP) -- The New York Yankees signed a pair of Chinese players, saying Monday they were the first players from China signed by major league teams with the approval of the country's baseball association.

Kai Liu, a 19-year-old left-handed pitcher, and Zhenwang Zhang, a 19-year-old catcher, are to be introduced at a Yankee Stadium news conference on July 6 and then will report to the team's minor league complex in Tampa, Fla.

Liu has played for Guangdong Province in China's six-team league and has been chosen for the national team. Zhang played for the Tianjin Lions, winning league titles in 2002, 2005 and 2006, and appeared in one game at last year's World Baseball Classic but did not have any at-bats.

"We have scouts worldwide and we have seen both players in the past," Yankees general manager Brian Cashman said.

Yankees executives visited China in January and reached a working agreement with the Chinese Baseball Association.

Also saw that the Yanks might be considering making a deal for Shea Hillebrand. Not crazy about him even if its a deal for a bag of baseballs. Dougie M. (not even gonna try to spell it) will be back and I'm pleased with what Cairo has been doing.

Why did I find this funny?

"The New York Yankees signed a pair of Chinese players,"

    I literally laughed out loud.

    Hmmm...maybe I'm just a goof.

i believe at this point that the less tinkering , the better, unless of course it involves a young talented pitcher .

oh and Chien-Ming Wang looked pretty fucking good last night. :)
